It has been a good weekend so far. When I got on the scale on the 1st, I was 169.8 and I was pleased to be there. That was pretty close to where I started on Spark. I think at this point I have got the idea it has to be a lifestyle change.

I have been inspired by following a friend through her exercises and positive motivational blogs. I picked up a copy of Jillian Michaels 30 day Beginner video and have just gone through the first workout. I am seriously contemplating an Epsom Salts soak. And that was only the front side of the body. I'm glad I passed on the Shred for now. Maybe after a couple of months with this one to get muscle built up first.

I have been doing well on my reduced carb intake - not quite paleo or gluten free, but will see how things are going tomorrow when I weigh in to start the new month. Then it is off to the Chiropracter to get my S I joint worked on. I think that is causing the most discomfort but the bursa on each hip joint have also screamed. That seems to be more of a response to the humidity over the last 15 days.

Happy St.I pretty much Patrick's Day. Yes, I enjoyed my corned beef and cabbage today. It is a once a year treat so I don't feel bad about it. Sundays are always a high calorie day for me. The rest of the time I pretty much stick to the straight and narrow. The funny thing is I'm only Irish for the day. I has been a good day.

Guess who will not have 100 % on the blogging for this month's challenge? Rhetorical question - me. I don't know what happened yesterday, it just plum snuck out of my head!
Today was one of those days- I'm not tracking food, mostly because I'm not sure how to log some of the food. We attended a funeral at out church today and stayed for the dinner. Fried chicken, various potato dishes, veggie dishes, and then the desserts. That always gets me. I had tossed salad, olives and pickles, cantaloupe cubes, potato casserole, green beans in a pickle type dressing with smoked sausage slices, fried chicken (2 thighs) and a sliver of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I guess it wasn't too bad, as I could and (have had at times) double on the potatoes and the desserts. I probably should have done some exercise today too, but didn't . We'll see what the scales say in the morning. The thing is I didn't pass on the sugar and flour items for dessert but I did pass on the roll. Dinner was home made soup with veggies and pasta, a tossed salad and some home canned pears my sister did up liuke applesauce..Tomorrow I need to get after stuff and get some housekeeping done. Dust bunnies are attacking everywhere and I need to work in th kitchen too.

The real 3/4/13

Guess I goofed on the date for my blog yesterday. It should have been 3/3/13 or Sunday. Today is Monday and it has been a good Spark day. I will try to put in my food in a little while, but there was no white stuff or sugar so it should be good. I also got in 40 minutes of Tai Chi. I did the minutes from the Women's Club meeting and have been catching up on other paper work. Not all lI need to get caught up on, but a big backlog is getting taken care of. That feels good. My plan is to continue the good work.
