Today is my second day of living a healthier lifestyle. I have taken some baby steps towards a healthier future. Drink more water. Get those 8 hours of shut eye. I had a 6 in sandwich at Subway instead of a footlong yesterday. I very rarely buy coffee drinks outside the house but was wanting one today and instead of a large, which I usually automatically order, I thoughtfully ordered a medium and had them use nonfat milk!
But what really stands out for me is that the act of eating or drinking something that I usually deem "bad" didn't set off a binge. That is huge for me. By choosing smaller portions of something that I usually eat instead of jumping headfirst into a diet, I was able to control my THOUGHTS. Like I said, that is huge. Plus, with the smaller portions I was satisfied instead of stuffed. I just have to remember baby steps and to take it one day at a time!
