R.O.J. Day 1 of 13

Monday, July 18, 2011

Well I had this great plan today, I was prepared. Healthy food packed, gym clothes laid out and in bed by 12:00. It was a good plan. Unfortunately my day had other plans -. did not fall asleep until after 3:30 am, rolled with it, got up in time to go to the gym. Did my 34 minutes on the treadmill and drove home to change quick and go to work. Got to work and my sewing instructor was a no show, so 8 little girls were waiting to learn to sew, and there was no teacher. I sew but not often and certainly not well, but I stepped up and somehow managed to teach the class. The problem was now I had 2 hrs to do 4 hrs worth of work, so no time for breakfast, snack, or lunch. Ran home and had 20 minutes until i had to take my son to speech therapy, so grabbed a weight watchers meal from the fridge and a pudding. after speech took a nap, that 3:30 am finally caught up with me. had a snack after that of triscuits, and a couple slices of salami. went grocery shopping and came home and ate a late light dinner, Now my perfect day, but overall I feel like I did ok considering my crazy day.

Just Barely made it to the lowest end of my calorie range (exactly 1200 cals)

Went to the gym and did my 35 minutes.

On glass # 6 of my water!!!

Logged onto spark, updated and blogged.

I feel i made good choices today - Oh and I already lost 1 lb :)

Crazy days seem like more the norm than non-crazy days don't they?? Just think, if you hadn't prepared, you might not have made such great choices when under that kind of stress! Hope sleep improves soon and you have a "normal day"!!! emoticon

Good job making the best of a crazy day. I think that builds strength and motivation.

I hope you get better sleep tonight! Sometimes when I'm at the low end I add some hot oatmeal at night before bed. It fills me up and I think helps me sleep better.

Hey I read in Oxygen today that if you add incline to your treadmill that you will triple your calorie burn.

Glad you are taking advantage of the 13 days. That means...eeek.... 16 days till I see my trainer again! Oh no...better stay on track so I don't get depressed about numbers since I haven't worked out with him in 4 months!

My March Manifesto.

Thursday, March 10, 2011

A manifesto is a public declaration of intentions. So what are my intentions for March.

Starting this month I have set a new goal for myself. Lose 5 lbs. per month. In one year this will drop me another 60 lbs. It is easy straight forward and completely do-able. No more unreasonable goals this year.

I will make better choices and strive to fuel my body with the nutrients and water it needs to take care of my family, my job and myself.

I will go to the gym at least 90 minutes per week because it makes me feel better mentally, emotionally, and physically. I will love my body as it is and strive to make it healthier and stronger everyday.

I will cherish my friendships and family and marriage and strive to strengthen them as well. I will work hard to be positive and focus on potential and not failures.

This is my manifesto- Now off to make it happen!!!!!!!!

I love it! A public declaration, we all need that! I'm trying to focus on the smaller goals too. I started the year saying 5 pounds a month but its been a struggle. I know it's do-able and we are both going to rock this! Let's make March our month!

Month of February - week 5 of 2011.

Tuesday, February 01, 2011

Quick recap of January. first 2 weeks did great last two weeks got sick, ate terrible and skipped the gym--- January is over on to February.

Goals for week 5

1. Eat breakfast everyday ( mcodnalds doesn't count)

2. Take vitamins everyday.

3. 30 minutes of cardio 3 days this week

4. Drink 6 cups of water a day.

5. Weigh in every day.

6. Log into sparkpeople everyday.

7. blog atleast 4 days this week.

I can tell by how I feel that I have not been taking care of my body. I feel sluggish and my knees and back are bothering me. I need to get back on track so I feel better. I am going to gym tomorrow weather permitting. I haven't weighed in in a week and I face the scale tomorrow ( doesn't help that I am PMSing so the number won't be pretty) but facing reality is necessary for me.
8. log in food atleast 3 days this week.
