Week three goals !!! and other stuff.

Monday, February 15, 2010

Well, it's the start of another week and time to post my goals for this week.

1. keep on not drinking soda. Lots of water!!!!
2. Try to get more sleep!!
3. Make it to the gym 4 days this week.
4. Start everyday with an inspirational song.
5. Blog everyday this week- something positive I accomplished even if it's small!!
6. Reward myself if I do a B or better this week.

On to the other stuff- The new job was crazy last week but I hung on OK and everything got done, barely - hoping this week is calmer. My store quit carrying the Quaker breakfast cookies- dastages- I freakin love those things. Bypassed the birthday cake at my son's party today and only ate 1 serving of low fat icecream- kinda happy about that!!!

Love ya all- till tomorrow:) Jules

Week 2 progress report.

Saturday, February 13, 2010

this was my second week following The Spark 28 day plan my goals were:
1. drink 8 cups of water daily.
2. Eat at least 1400 calories per day ( seems to be optimum for me.)
3. exercise at least 30 minutes 4 days this week. =120 minutes
4. try to get at least 7 hrs. of sleep per night, preferably more. (I know, I'm working on it).

here's how I did:
1. drank ALOT more water this week. 8 cups 5 of 6 days so far this week.
2. did this every day this week - a couple days way to far over this goal:(
3. Made it to the gym 3 days this week for a total of 130 minutes (made it minute wise, but work and the weather were huge factor this week)
4. This was the hardest for me I made it 3 out of 6 days so far - really need to work on this.

Overall I give this week a c+ weight lost this week = 1 lb. weight loss this month: 5.8

My weight is now 172.4 starting weight 236.4 I've lost 64lbs. total

Next mini goal is to get into the 160's reward = get to buy and read "Dear John" so I can see the movie:).

peace out:)

Sleep can be difficult - if I get 7 a night I'm happy, but still exhausted by the weekend. I slept 11 hours last Friday night. Hopefully this week will be better and I won't be a party pooper this weekend.

2) go to the gym at least 3 days this week- glad I made this commitment this week sometimes it was the ONLY thing that got my but in gear- always glad I went.

3) Weighed myself everyday- I used to be so faithful ablout this- and I did it all week no matter what- I faced the scale and lived to tell the tale.

Results- slept better on no caffeine, and I dropped 4.8lbs. this week:) WOOHOO. It's great to be back to basics.

The Spark Ch. 6

Wednesday, February 03, 2010

Well I have been reading the spark and I am up to chapter 6 - the first week of the 28 day plan which I have recommitted to. I have set some fast break goals for myself.

1. No soda (even diet- hope this = more water)
2. Go to the gym 3 days this week. (1 down 2 to go.)
3. weigh in daily. ( so far 4 for 4)

And have set some short term and medium term goals with rewards. It has helped me realize that small steps make a big difference.

Yes they do make a difference, I'm thinking I should take a page out of your book and set some small goals for myself so I can get back on track! Thanks and sorry I haven't been around much!

one of my fast breaks was to eat more fruit and vegies. I thought that I was eating them already and this would be easy. Who Knew?! emoticon I have found that I really have to work at getting those vegies in. Do pickels count?

Good streak plans! My goal this month is to reach 1,500 fitness minutes. I have fallen short several months in a row and would really like to make it this month!

I also want to lose at least 3 lbs. If I do that every month I'll hit my goal by Eclipse!

Good luck this week! emoticon

I find that weighing in daily works best for me. I have learned not to beat myself up since I know it fluctuates and track my self on a weekly basis too. Weighing myself daily helps me stay honest with myself- and keeps me from going overboard since I face the scale daily.

I gave up on weighing myself daily because the natural fluctuations were depressing me. Who knew you could do 2 hours of cardio one day then weigh 2 pounds more the next day?
