2 days and going strong.

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Well the last two days i have been back to being serious about this whole weight loss thing and I am already starting to feel better. I can't wait to hit the gym tomorrow. I am doing the special K diet m-f and regular food diet on sat and sun. I need the structure during the week. I want to be in the 160's by Valentines day, cause I 'm so hitting Victoria Secrets;) I will try to blog daily, accountability, accountability and accountability. Short I know- but happy.

Coming out of hiding.

Wednesday, January 06, 2010

For the last couple of months I have been hiding, I have been a coward. I have gained back about 6lbs. and I have not been going to the gym regularly. I am really ashamed of myself and I feel like crap. I have got to shake this apathy it is sucking the life out of me. So starting right now, I fight. I will get up tommorrow and fight every pound everyday. I have goals to reach and new clothes to buy. My elliptical misses me and my butt misses the elliptical:) NO MORE EXCUSES!!!!! 160's here I come..........

Hey girl, just wanted to let you know that I gained 5 pounds back....blech....however, I finally jumped back on the wagon and it took only about a week of being really serious to lose most of the weight. I know you can do this! We can do it together!

    You can do this!

We all slip. The important thing to do is pick yourself back up, dust yourself off -- and move forward. Which you are doing! Thanks for being brave and checking back in with all of us.

Here's to a healthy 2010!!!

You go girl! I need a good kick in the butt to get me going again. I keep starting over every day. Forgive and forget but the butt is still following me. I hope you find your way into the 160's and leave a trail of high fiber cereal for me to follow. emoticon

First blog of 2010. (AKA 2009 overview)

Friday, January 01, 2010

Hey all. Now that the Holidays are over it is time to get back to my life:) So I thought my first blog of 2009 should be a review of 2009 and my New Years resolutions.

2009 a year in review------- What a great year!!!!! I lost 61 lbs. last year. I spent 4, 395 minutes in the gym. (only 308 in 2008) My son Shawn who is autistic got his first A in school (so proud of him). Made some wonderful new friends and found a crazy new hobby/obsession, Twilight!!!!! Brought the sexy back - that's all I'm saying!! I smiled more this year then I have in a long time.

2010- a year of awesomeness
I want to reach the 100 lb. weight loss goal so I will be one hot 35yr old mama:)
I want to hit my fitness minute goal this year -6735.
I want to finish reading Withering Heights(the only book I ever started and never finished)
I want to make more wonderful friends both on the cyber and the real world.
I want to run a 4 mile race in Sept.

So looking forward to another sparkyear full of laughs and lost lbs.

I am so glad you were dorky enough to start team Dorkville, it is a great team with lots of friendly and supportive people. Add that to your 2009 list "brought laughter and motivation to dorks everywhere". I know your going to have a great year.

This week....

Saturday, December 19, 2009

This week has been interesting. Monday one of my good friends came over and we baked cookies, we both love to bake. We made a double batch of Toll House chocolate chip cookies, they were delicious and I ate several over the course of the week, I loosely followed the special K plan and ate 5 mini meals everyday. My calorie levels were higher then I usually go, they were closer to 1400 calories per day instead of the usual 1200 and 4 days this week when I woke up the scale showed a 1lb loss or greater. This has not happened since September, in fact I haven't had a weekly loss for the last month. Maybe, I need more calories then I thought, I have no other way of explaining the weight loss this week. I hope this means I am over this plateau, because it has been really messing with my head. I am hoping to break into the 160's next week which would be a really great Christmas gift to myself. A lot of my family hasn't seen me since the summer and I can't wait to see their reactions . (gosh that sounds so shallow) but you know what, I'm kinda proud of myself.

It snowed here overnight and it looks so beautiful outside. I LOVE SNOW!!!!!

Interesting blog. I have been reading about calories and considering uping mine. I keep getting a warning on my fitness page that I'm going over my goals and need to change my nutrition tracker. I usally stay well under 1,400 calories. Well today I decided I show try to eat more and ate slightly over 1,600 but it made me nervous.

I will be interested to see how my weight goes over the next few days. I've been hanging around the same weight for a while now and I would love to get past it.

Have a great week! I'm looking at your pictures and loving them. I just reread Eclipse for fun and I know my daughter bought me a copy of Breaking Dawn for Christmas. I'll enjoy reading that again!

Merry Christamas emoticon emoticon

    Yay for the snow!!!

Are you working out regularly? 1200 calories and below is considered to be the "starvation point" where your body will store more rather than burn your weight off. If you are working out whether its cardio or strength you need those calories. I am on a major strength training program so it actually calls for me to eat more GOOD calories than a normal diet would.... because muscle requires so much more energy to work and burn. Cardio you don't need as many calories but still enough. 1500 seems to be the round sound number most people eat around who are on a diet... anything less than that for a diet shouldn't be done for more than a week.

If you knew all that sorry i like to ramble hahaha!
Have a good day! Merry Christmas

the general musing (rantings) of me!!

Thursday, December 17, 2009

SO ok, lately I've been a little MIA. I work retail and this is our busy season so I've been working more then usual. I haven't blogged lately, so today I'm gonna.

This is the first year in a long time I hope I get clothes for Christmas, I need new clothes, I like clothes again. - this is good.

Panera's now has macaroni and cheese ( it tastes divine) this too is good in moderation.

I am still not done with my Christmas shopping - this is not good and is stressing me out:(

I finally put my tree up last night- good- but still not in the mood.

2009 was a pretty great year. I lost 65 lbs. (hopefully this will be true by New Years) I made several new friends and gained a lot of confidence. I reconnected with my love of reading- thanks Stephenie Meyer!.. I have been teaching lots of scrapbooking classes and I love doing this. I learned to love the gym for the first time ever.

I have high hopes for 2010. I hope to be down to 157 by Valentines day- this is what I weighed on my wedding day and me and my friend Jennis are going to Victoria secrets- because I will actually fit into the smexy stuff they sell there. I turn 35 in June and want to be down 100 lbs. by then I want to wear a 2 piece to the pool this summer. These things are gonna happen, I can feel it- I can see it

Short term- I want to finally leave the 170's, seriously it's been fun but I am so over you.

mmmm.....a two piece....don't think I'll be wearing one of those ever again no matter how much weight a lose. The tummy is too mangled from having a child. :) I am just so proud of you! I think you're fantastic and you are such an inspiration to me! Thank you for being you!
