My first ride

Sunday, January 01, 2012

My first ride of the New Year 2012 on the motorcycle. I went to church with Mom then to her home to have my yearly helping of sauerkraut. Then back home to ride the bike. The sun was so bright & warm against my face. After only riding 35 miles, the sun suddenly slipped under a gray cloud that moved in quickly, the first sprinkles of rain descended on us, the air turned cold & whipped under my shield of the helmet. I was other wise warm because I always wear my cuddleduds.

Why turn over a new leaf?????????

Sunday, January 01, 2012

Why turn over a new leaf when you can plant a new tree with stronger roots. " Last night I heard from my friend in New York who is a young aspiring actor Ty Brown he sent this to me. I really thought about it. I am grabbing this one by the roots, & early this morning when I weighed my self I knew that the minute I stepped off that scale I planted my tree within my core. Like any young plant it must be taken care of with plenty of water & a good source of nutrition if not it will either wither or bare less fruit. I want my roots to spread so far out & burrow deep down & take hold. 2011 is gone forever but 2012 is a fresh new beginning. I moan & groan because of where I wanted to be in the weight department, like a slug I munched through all the unhealthy & healthy food that out weighed my portion control. No one did this to me but I did it to myself. Remember to plant your tree within your self, water, & to feed with good nutrition don't over load you want portion control so your roots can go deep & hold firm.

Yep...new year and an awesome chance to forget the former things and hope for the desires of our hearts to be met.

I really liked what your friend shared. I want to be strong as an oak with deep roots.... not like a pine with shallow roots, (they are beautiful but can be knocked down easily in "tough times"/weather. It's funny even those big ole oaks start with a little acorn. One day at a time...........

WE WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN IN 2012!

Don't put Jesus away.

Sunday, December 25, 2011

Christmas will soon be over,& some folks put Jesus away after Christmas & do not bother with him until the next Christmas. Jesus is everyday keep him out all year round in our hearts & trying to be more Christ like.

I think we need Jesus even more when it's not Christmas time - but we tend to try to take care of things ourselves. And there He is, waiting with open arms for us to throw ourselves into His arms and let Him take care of the problems and heartaches.

Yes, let's not throw (or put) Jesus away until next December!

I am going to have this fat melting off me like butter on a hot ear of corn in August!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, November 27, 2011

Today starts the melting .I am going to husk this weight off my thunder thighs & this watermelon stomach. The measuring devices are out, the fresh fruits & vegetables are waiting & the water is on tap. I also revised my work out schedule. The days are ticking by I have not really gave it my entire effort before. I knowt my goal month in May 2012 will soon be here. Then I will be saying," okay I will make my goal now in Dec. 2012" it snow balls I do this all the time.

Christmas decorating with Mom

Saturday, November 26, 2011

Well I hauled every thing up from the basement ,now I am resting, then Mom & I will start decorating the living room which takes hours, I have too much, but I cannot part with it as of yet. I worked today & get tired so I will take my time. I wish today I could blink & it would all be done. I usually do not feel like that ,when it comes time to decorate, but I think when your tired it just zaps the zest out of you. Anxious to see how far I get my 9:0 pm got to get going !!!!!!!!!

I keep saying I won't put as much up too...but I always do. My son loves my little "village house scene"...he has been captivated by it since he was a little boy...so needless to say I always put it up.

I got mine up a few days before Thanksgiving. My in laws came to visit and we all like having it up for Thanksgiving. Kinda early for some but not us! ;)
