Sharing Study Notes...

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Hi All,

Based on the response I received from everyone on the preview I shared from the Ladies Bible Study I lead I decided to share the actual Study Notes with you. I teach a weekly Ladies Bible Study every Tuesday morning from 10:15am to 12 Noon. We are presently studying the Book of Hebrews. You won't have the benefit of the actual discussions we have but hopefully after looking up the scriptures and reading the questions it will encourage you to have your own Bible Study. When reading the verses that are shared here you may find helpful to read the preceding verses and those that follow to get the flow of the whole passage. Hope you enjoy, feed-back is always welcomed... God's Blessings...

Psalm 119:41-48

Psalm 119:41-48

å Waw

41 Let Your mercies come also to me, O Lord—
Your salvation according to Your word.

42 So shall I have an answer for him who reproaches me,
For I trust in Your word.

43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
For I have hoped in Your ordinances.

44 So shall I keep Your law continually,
Forever and ever.

45 And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts.

46 I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings,
And will not be ashamed.

47 And I will delight myself in Your commandments,
Which I love.

48 My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments,
Which I love,
And I will meditate on Your statutes.

Busy Week & Weekend Ahead...

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Good Morning All,

Hope this day finds you well, I am well just a little tired today, I have a busy day and rest of the week planned so need to be feeling more energetic, that's for sure.

Once I get started it will all come together. Today, I have shopping, cleaning and errands to accomplish. Tomorrow I have a trip to super centre wall-mart for my monthly bulk shopping, paper, grocery, frozen, produce, dairy, bread/bakery, and want to check out their barbeques, they have them on sale now..

I will be buying some kids summer items for my grandkids, bulk bottles of bubbles, balls, they have them on 2 for $5, good deal...I have a bike, climbing equipment complete with a slide and a big rocking horse, the grandkids enjoy when they come to grandma's house. I try to have craft projects and play ideas ready for them each week. All I need to add is a kids size pool, and some other water play, most likely a water play table that can be used as sand or water play.

Will see what wall-mart has tomorrow, not sure what I'll end up with but for sure the barbeque, balls, sand play toys and bubbles are high on the list.

Friday I have my grandson all day while his parents work, his sister is in all day kindergarten but come the end of June I'll have both kids every Friday.

Saturday I am going to a 50 plus catered dinner, special entertainment at our church, for sure I'll have pictures of the event, the dinner is a 3 course meal, we start off with an entree` of choice of salads and bread rolls, main course is a choice of Beef Wellington or Chicken Breast with a Mushroom Sauce, Dessert, Raspberry Crepes with a special sauce or 3 Layer German Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, coffee, tea and punch...

Sunday is Church, which is a highlight for me; this week is Communion, so looking forward to the service and to the weekend..

Hope you all have a blessed weekend and enjoy the remainder of your week. Keep on sparking, you are doing a great job. I stand with you cheering you on your journey...

Daily Devotions with Heartlight...

April 24

1 Peter 1:18-19

You know that is was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Thoughts on today's verse

If value is determined by price, we are incredibly valuable. God took the most precious treasure of heaven to buy us out of sin and death and adopt us into his family. Silver and gold pale in comparison to that value.

Prayer:

Holy God, may I live today constantly aware of my inestimable value to you. May my words, thoughts and actions be permeated with a sense of worth. Not so that I may seem important but so that I may live in holiness and honor to your precious gift to me. Through him I pray. Amen.

Great Day...

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Hi All,

Just got home from my Ladies Bible Study I lead. We had a great study, continuing on with our study in Hebrews 3:7-9, 10-12. We looked at a lot of other scriptures discussing our theme today on Warning Against Unbelief, Hardness of Heart and Examples of Hardness of Heart.... Self-will: Submission.

Some of the questions we looked at were...1. What do we learn about hardness of heart and how can we prevent our hearts from being hardened against God? How do we keep from falling, guarding our hearts from hardness?

The discussion that was built from the scriptures about Self-Will, Submission proved to be interesting, after looking up many verses related to this subject we built our discussion around these questions, 1. What have we learned about self-will, getting our own way, living for self, what do these verses teach us so we can avoid living a life like these examples, what are the rewards of living a life obedient to God?

Next Week: We study the affects of Stubborness, Rebellion, the Rewards of Submission and Divine Will... Hebrews 3:7-19 and other verses to support the theme we are discussing.

This evening I am having a quiet time and will be heading to bed early. I plan to write one more blog and share a daily devotion with Heartlight.

Have a great evening, God's Blessings & Hugs... emoticon
