Psalm 91

Psalm 91 King James Version

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

God Has a Plan... Really
Ryan Duncan, TheFish.com Editor

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”- Jeremiah 29:11

I had a rough time after graduating college. The economy was in the tank, and I was having trouble finding work. I was living with my parents, missed all my friends, constantly bored, and I was probably the only person from my university that had graduated without a girlfriend, wife, or fiancée.

I can remember on one particularly bad day, my mother came up to me and said, “Ryan, God has a plan.” I don’t remember what I said to that, hopefully something polite, but what I do remember is that underneath I completely snapped. I hate it when people tell me God has a plan. I wanted to scream, “I don’t care if God has a plan! What about my plans? What about my goals, my dreams? Does God care about them? Would God like to share this ingenious little plan of his, or is it just going to be a big surprise for later?”

Maybe you’re like me. Maybe sometimes the future looks dark and hearing someone say, “God has a plan” is the equivalent to rubbing salt in an open wound. If you are, I’ve got some good news for you: the Bible is full of people like us.
• David was promised to become the next king of Israel. But before that happened he found himself on the run from a half-crazy Saul who wanted to kill him.
• Daniel and his friends became leaders and high officials, spreading God’s word to Babylon. Of course, first they had to be kidnapped, renamed, and face death on multiple occasions.
• Finally, Jesus’ disciples believed they had finally found the one true Messiah, and then had to watch the Son of God be executed like a common criminal. Do you think there were ever moments when each of them wondered, “Does God really have a plan?”

The truth is, God really does have a plan. We never know what tomorrow may bring, and we never know how past events, even a painful ones, might be used by God to create a brighter future. Life is tough, but that does not mean God doesn’t care. He knows what he’s doing; he’s got a plan.

God really does have a plan, specifically designed for each of us. We need to trust in Him and ask that He give us the wisdom to discern that plan, and the will to follow it.
Praise be to God!

God Is Good/Praise Report

Thursday, March 08, 2012

Hi All,

Thought it was time to report my status, as you are aware the past 2 months have not been that easy, my out of wack menopause symptoms, 2 UTI, Bladder and Kidney infections back to back. The last lot of antibiotics didn't work. I was drinking copious amounts of water, cranberry juice and trying to stay away from coffee. I finally succeeded in that as I have had no coffee and drinking only water and tea for the past 2 weeks. I found a remedy and am taking cranberry concentrated capsules daily which is certainly helping. Thank you Jesus...

Through out the 2 months I was dealing with all these menopause symptoms, hot flashes, fatigue, generally feeling un well and infections it caused me to feel somewhat discouraged, I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever get beyond this.

Good News, I did through the Grace of God and me keeping my eyes on the finishing line and following all the right things to do I got through it to God's Glory. We serve a Mighty God. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us, He is as close as the mention of His lovely name, the name above all names...

I had my doctor's appointment last week and was re-tested and the tests came back clear, I was pleased as was my doctor, he told me that some woman who are menopausal go through these types of infections and of course all the others that go along with it, he told me to keep up with the remedies and to continue to drink plenty of fluids which I'm doing.

He gave me a standing lab requisition to have my urine tested to make sure an early infection is caught before he takes hold. The remedy helps with that as about a week ago I woke up with severe kidney pain, and of course all the burning pain that goes along with frequent urination, I took the remedy 3 doses and on Monday morning there was no further symptoms and that has been the case ever since. PTL, isn't our God so good...

From the bottom of my heart I want to say thanks for all your support and prayers, God has used each one of you to bless me beyond measure.

Love Hugs and Prayers as always...

Hebrews 13:5b I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Isaiah 40:13 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

I thank God that you are feeling better. UTI's are no fun. Hot flashes aren't either. My DH suffers from hot flashes. His PSA had gone up, so his urologist recommended he get hormone shots to decrease his testosterone level. The side effect for him is hot flashes. He can get anywhere between 10 and 20 a day. But, thank God, his PSA is back down to zero, so it is working. God made wonderful bodies for us, and thank Him for wonderful caring doctors, and living in a country where we have access to them.
He is great! He is good! Praise Him!

Psalm 90

Thursday, March 08, 2012

Psalm 90 King James Version

1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

13 Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
