My Transformation So Far

Tuesday, August 04, 2009

These are my before and after pics during my fat loss transformation.
My goal is to reach 8-10% body fat Christmas of 2009. I believe this is totally doable. I have about 20 more lbs of body fat to lose and I will hopefully reach this goal before 12/2009.

My Best to everyone in the spark world.

Pics of My RTP 84 day contest transformation

Thursday, May 14, 2009

in 23 days, I lost 2 inches off my waist, lost 2.5% bodyfat and about 5-6lbs.
This contest is for a trip to New York and a feature on Adam Waters RTP website.
The contest is sponsored by Adam Waters and Tom Venuto.
RTP stands for Real Time Physique -accountability transformation.
You are required to post a daily pic, journal entry and follow( with some latitude to change the program) the RTP program for 84 days. It is very balanced and safe, but does require a lot of work.

For more info on Adam and his awesome transformation click here 12weekphysique.blogspot.com/

WOW, you look wonderful and I love it.

My son, Adam does Tony Horton's P90X work out, which has 13 DVDs and is all in home work out. It is a fantastic work out since it covers the total body.

Being stuck on a plateau has not been fun. This is the conclusion I have come to after extensive research and study on my weight/fat loss results. Carbs are killing my progress. So there are all kinds of debates arguments, strong opinions for opposing views. At this point I just don't care. I have had enough with what seems to me, to be an addiction to carbs. I start eating them and it is nearly impossible for me to meet my daily calorie deficit goals. So with some carefully placed guidelines, I have started a Cyclical Ketogenic Diet, used by many successful body builders. Honestly I can tell a difference already in my appetite. And I just started it today. It does not involve and extreme reduction in calories, but it is very low carb. Probably not for everyone and it is not as restrictive as the Atkins diet, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. And for me cutting the carbs is what I gotta do, to get unstuck.

I also do better with low carbs, it's almost impossible for me to lose unless I cut to at least only 20-50 carbs a day. We've missed your posts..Glad to see you back..

thanks for your encouragement and I will definitely watch the carbs. I actually juice, water fasted for 13 days last summer, so I kind of know what to watch out for in the ways of side effects :) Thanks again emoticon

Congrats! While cutting the carbs is fine, just make sure you do get enough. I cut carbs when I first started, and cut too low at one point. You do need them, I tend to stick with whole grains now.

Good luck and keep up the good work emoticon

A SPARKER asked "Describe 2009 in one word."

One chose SMILE.
Another chose REJOICING.
Another said her's is FEARLESS.

What one word will describe your 2009?
