Good week...

Monday, January 18, 2010

I had a good week. I exercised 5 times this week and I logged in my nutrition tracker all 7 days. I also began training for a 5K in earnest. My food consumption was okay, but I still need to watch my cholesterol and sodium. I have also worked on a lot of personal goals as well.

We are on SparkPeople as a family and all of us are encouraging one another. It is one day at a time. One step at a time. emoticon

Back to one step at a time.

I was so close back in March. I had made so many good habits developed and goals set. In several months, things really started to change and I began to gain weight back. Most of it was emotional eating. The rest was not being able to say no. I am in a better place now and motivated to loose the remaining weight.

I am finally becoming comfortable with my weight loss past. In many ways, my eating was a way to put up a barrier to my feelings. My food needs to be treated with much more respect than that. I am also treating myself with a little more respect as well.

The last 4 pounds...

Sunday, March 29, 2009

I guess the last few pounds are going to be tough. I am in that zone where I could either stop or loose that last few. I am searching for a little motivation now. I guess like all goals, this one will be reached like all of my other goals: one step at a time. It is much harder when my motivation is flagging. I have a goal picture book that helps when times are tough. It must be time for a look... emoticon

The power of perspective....

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

Lat week was one that I would rather forget. The good thing was that I ended up loosing weight last week in spite of all the difficulties. It is all in how I look at things. I can choose to respond to them in a negative way and not get the results I want, or I can respond positively and make progress. It is all up to me to make that decision. emoticon

Keeping things in perspective.

Monday, February 16, 2009

This was not a good week for me, but with the tools I have and encouragement from my friends on SparkPeople, I am doing well. I am disappointed that I gained weight, but I am able to focus on the next meal and shrug off the bad news. The focus on a lifetime perspective and positive change are great motivators for me. emoticon
