Well folks, I have been away for awhile but really missed the community. Everytime I get off track and come back I am just so disappointed with myself and how far backwards I've gone. If I were talking to a friend I'd tell them to get over themselves and let them know they can still make a change and get all that back. But, for some reason, I can't get it through my own head.

Still - I am going to try. I did day one of NROL4W again and plan to ride my bike to my parents tonight. It isn't magic - I know exactly what I need to do. If you don't mind taking some time out of your day please check in on me for the next few weeks while I try to get back on track

    I love the "here I am again" blogs. It shows commitment. I had to think hard about the acronym. Then I realized, I HAVE that book! emoticon I'm back to doing Jamie Eason's 12 week Live Fit program though. It just is a better fit for me for some reason.

    I am right there with you sister! The problem isn't a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of real commitment-and just throwing in the towel when results don' fast enough. If you will help ME with accountability, I will help YOU.
I do well for a week or so, but then tire of tracking food, etc. ;-) Its just SO easy NOT TO! emoticon

Hello,

We are Pavlov and Darwin - 2 male Jack Russell Terriers. We were found on the street and stayed together as a pair so we'd love if someone can bring us into their home together. We are also good at playing by ourselves since we seemed to do that a lot but will suck up any love you have to give. We have no problem snuggling up to you as often as we can. We are thought to be around a year and half old but still have quite a bit of energy.

Since we were alone for so long we do need training but seem to learn pretty fast. Pavlov already has his create down and I just follow his lead.

We have been getting around great with other dogs - the big ones at our foster home are really cute so we have been following them to see how to behave like a dog. We wanted to play with the cats we have been around but they didn't want to play with us. Luckily, the kids totally loved playing with us and us them!

Let's talk about races this year!

So I have been playing all morning on the races that are happening in Michigan and trying to figure out what I'd like to do. I have settled on a few and want to share since I'm excited plus I can keep the links here.

The first one is going to be the Let's Move 5k on April 26th. This is one I have done previously and it is pretty darn close to my house so it is all around perfect for a 'getting back into it' 5k.

The next one I may do with my sister on May 31st and it is called the Rainbow Run. It is kinda like the color run but it is also the start to the Ferndale Pride street fair which is a LGBTQA event. I like that it has a point as well as a crazy fun run!

The next 3 are a series of events which is why I am crazy excited about them. The 2nd run is at one of my most favorite wineries so I wanted to do that one for sure. The others end at a brewery and a hard cider place. They are calling it the Thirsty 3! Plus if you do all 3 you get a race medal hanger.... Look how crazy cute it is



The first (Hightail to Ale) is on May 2nd, the 2nd (Running Between the Vines) is August 16th and the Scrumpy Skedaddle is on October 5th!

    Awesome! I'm not a fan of color runs - the one I did, I could barely breathe through!! - but I love the idea behind them and love that it's for a good cause!

January Goals

I am not usually one for new years resolutions because, frankly, I don't like committing to something for an entire year when situations may change. I had a ton of fitness goals last year and wasn't able to due to injury. This year, I'm going to try to make goals for a month. Some may carry over, some may not but it gives me a new start each month. So, here we go for January.

Run C25k 3 times per week
Use my push up progress app 3 times per week
On pushup days, use my resistance bands for pull up progress.

I'm still working on what (or if) I will get if I reach my goals. I'm feeling kinda spoiled right now since I got a ton of stuff for Christmas.

I really need to get back into the fitness side of things so we'll start here and maybe get into Nutrition a bit more in Feburary.

I think I'm back

So I've been sidelined on my running for about a year while I figured out what was going on with my ankle. Now after about a year, multiple tests, medications, etc I am finally getting some relief. Turns out I have arthritis and now have to give myself injections once a week.

But, I've got some relief and feel like I am able to get back out and start running. I am so excited but am nervous about starting again in the snow and cold since I am completely starting from scratch. C25k here I come!
