MOVING DAY

Thursday, August 21, 2014

8 Days and counting and hoping for no rain, at least in the morning or until 2 p.m.

I am so excited, all my stuff is in boxes in the living room. I can't believe it, Freedom at last. To be able to go out a door and be on a bus route or walk and get a Coleman's Fish Sandwich. Browse thru all the little stores and shops down there. I am just thrilled.

Can you all tell I am THRILLED. I want to shout it out on the roof top.

Have a Lovely Day!

Packing

Monday, August 11, 2014

I am getting my stuff put in boxes to move in 2 weeks and 4 days. I am so excited. I do not want to even think about staying here any longer. Jo Ann is just picking at me. That is OK because she will soon be doing everything all by herself.

Six thirty this morning before the down pour, I raked the front yard, and pulled weeds along the walk. I heard a neighbor yell, LUAU does all this for you. I just laughed and said How about a cup' of coffee. She said, Come on down. Yes I did, and I have been on the toilet most of the morning.

Jo Ann just can not stand the smell of coffee. Something has to be wrong with her.
Have to laugh, I will have to make sure Jo doesn't decide that I do not know how to box stuff up. Love

New Apartment

Friday, August 08, 2014

Sept. I will be moving into my new apartment. It is an efficiency. I am so excited. It is in a great area.

When I get it done, I will have someone take pictures and get them here.

I am so thrilled, I have a bed, queen, my computer table, and a chair, which eventually has to be redone, due to dogs. I cried when I actually thought of how it has been tore up in the last 2 yrs.

I will actually be 3 blocks or so from town. The week end of Labor day, there is a Boat Regatta at Heritage Port. A short walk, All the festivals, and fireworks are there. I will be in the mix.

Also for a while, I will not have internet, but have EASY access to library. I am not going to have a TV for a while. It is not a necessity.

I am so happy. Thanks to all those who prayed and my well wishers. Love

Excited

Sunday, July 20, 2014

After turning down several places, because I couldn't walk up 4 to 5 hills, I could use skis and skates, just to come down. I had to redo my app. I thought, OK, this is another year or so and I am at the bottom of the list. I put the app. in on July 7th, and sent a letter and found out that I am #1 in two places. I would prefer Luau. It is on the bus line.

I was so nervous I was in the bathroom all day yesterday. I had refused the one because, I loved it, windows everywhere, but I would need a washer and dryer. But it was perfect if you had a car. Then when they contacted me the next time I told them that I couldn't leave my sister. SO, as soon as someone moves into a 1 bedroom, or whatever, I will get the efficiency.

Yes it is small, but I do not need much. I will pretend I am at the YWCA with a full kitchen. At 65 1/2 I do not need stuff. Keep me in your prayers. I would really like LUAU, it is on the bus line, and 1 block down, not over, DOWN, there is a Coleman's Fish Market, and a 2 block market of all kinds of shops.

It's amazing how freeing it is to have less "stuff". I have been working on getting rid of my clutter for years! Hope you will get the place that is perfect for you.

This sounds promising and just what you need. You would have freedom to move about and do what you want. You are in my prayers.

FAMILY REUNION

Saturday, June 14, 2014

We went to family reunion. As soon as I saw my cousin Nancy I grabbed her arm and said, I need to ask you several questions. (1) How is your relationship with your sister. (2) How did everyone celebrate the holidays, since your mom died 2 years ago?

My Aunt Mary dies 2 years ago, and at the funeral, Nancy's husband shocked us all by giving a speech on care givers. My cousin, Nancy's sister, Marybeth worked as a teacher, and she couldn't help out with her mothers care. After ward when they piled into the limo to go to the grave site, Nancy's kids, grandkids, Uncle Jim and Nancy and hubby squeezed into the limo, Marybeth and her family had to drive their own vehicle.

Now time went by, and Nancy took her sister out for lunch on her birthday. Robbie, Nancy's husband walked in and said,"Isn't it time we buried the hatchet? to Marybeth saying Only in your head."

My concern is for their father. He is 88. This is hard on him.

Found out someone else died, my Aunt Jerry.

I was glad to get home, I cried half the time I was there. Everyone knew I was having a bad time. But good to see everyone.

Love

Joyce, I didn't get to read this last night. I am sorry to hear your day was not what I had hoped. I have a limited time on the computer here. I am going to try to watch the card now. I hope today was better. I am sure it was good to see most of the family.
Take care. emoticon

I'm so sorry you had such a bad time. It's bad enough to lose family members without
everyone arguing. I hope someone looks after the father. (When you remember your trip - try to think of the the good things that happened). emoticon emoticon
