Wow! 2012 already!

Took my granddaughters and son home today. I am missing them already. Boy is it cold here! 23 degrees. Was snowing and icy on roads, I was a nervous wreck til we got back to Indianapolis. Usually city streets are more clear.

A friend of ours had a tree fall on her house last night. The boys went over to help her move some furniture out of the way. We went by as soon as we got back to town from taking the kids home and stayed for an hour or so. It's really cold in her house. Tried to make her come home with us, but she is so stubborn!

Some brothers from the hall took on the job of cutting the tree off her house. The home owners insurance should help pay for the work. They pour concrete in the summer so they needed some work for this time of year anyway. So, I guess the situation was mutually beneficial. I know I would rather have brothers doing work for me than to trust strangers. (For sure)

Well, I am sooo tired. I think I might just sleep the rest of the week away, except for a painting session I am gonna give to a friends son on Wednesday and meeting on Thursday of coarse! LOL

Love to all, I will try to start posting more regular now. I hope to get back into a more healthy routine now that things should start to settle back down. I gained 2.4 pounds back in December. I gotta get back on track so I can start losing again.

I hope everyone is having a great day (night). Joyce

Day 82 - Thursday, December 15, 2011

Thursday, December 15, 2011

Just popping in to post my workout today. I wanted to mention that the meeting tonight was encouraging. I had missed a few meetings with my hubby being sick and my lack of sleep. And even though I was tired and had a headache, it was still good to be at the meeting tonight. I even managed a comment or two.

Hope everyone is well. Remember to appreciate all we have and not take for granted the priviledge we have of knowing our God, Jehovah.

Love to all....Joyce

Our meeting was Tues night, and I too had missed several meetings because of the gallbladder attacks. I prayed and prayed to make it and did.....and yes it was soooo encouraging. I have so enjoyed reading Isaiah. I've been using the Isaiah book and getting so much more out of the Bible reading. It also gives me a number of scriptures to comment on during Highlights.....hard to stick to just one...and keep it 30 seconds!

Day 80 - Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Woke up at 3am today. Didn't sleep well. Since hubby has been sick he snores all night long ...every night. I have been napping some in the day but no real rest for at least a week now.

Since I was awake, I did my first workout this am at 5:45. I feel really tired but I want to try and stay awake and do at least 3 workouts today. Maybe, I will be able to sleep tonight if I do.

Been a bit weepy lately. Not sure if it is due to being tired or other things. I am alone alot and sometimes that is really hard. I try to stay positive though and do something that takes my mind away from worries and doubts. It really feels sometimes like no one notices or cares about me...but then I remember that there is at least 2 persons who will never forget me. Jehovah and Jesus. When I remember that it helps alot. Although I really feel sometimes that if I vanished the only person that would notice would be my hubby. I know that is not right, but there it is. So when I feel that way, I make sure to pray and talk to my heavenly Father about it. I truely wish everyone in the world had that kind of help. That is why it is so important for us to preach. If it is hard to take this world with Jehovah's help, I can't imagine trying to survive without it.

I hope everyone is well today, but if not, lean on Jehovah and He WILL sustain you. Love Joyce

Me too. Sometimes having some of the publications playing in the back ground helps a lot.

I get weepy sometimes too.... and it can be really tough to pull myself out of it! But I find the best thing to do is to pray, study, get in service and make sure I am getting to meetings. When I have a really tough time I try to find a way that I can help someone else -- whether it be a comment at meeting, a card, or whatever. The whole more happiness in giving thing.... and it works for me!

Hi Joyce! Sorry to hear you feel so lost and lonely. Many people go through that from time to time. Other than work out, what do you do to fill your time? You are right to stay as active as you can...hard when you are tired though exercise does boost energy. Sleep is so necessary! My husband snores all the time also...it helps if you can get to sleep first! I insist on Vicks on the chest before bed..to help at least some. You might also try those nose strips that open your nasal passage...they work too. Despite fatigue and loneliness...I am glad to see you posting here. Keep reaching out...WE want to be supportive. emoticon

Day 75 - Thursday, December 8, 2011

Thursday, December 08, 2011

Just popping in to say hi.

I worked out extra today to make up for not working out enough yesterday. It was tough, but my hubby has been home sick for two days. I think he just needs rest. He has a real tough job and they work them 10 or more hours every day.

So today, he got to lay on the couch and watch me do my workout. LOL I had an audience ha ha.

I had to turn the heater down cause I was sweating so much. I also have to take it easy on my left arm when doing my dancing. I hurt my shoulder somehow (probably getting too energetic with one of the dances, lol). Now I have to baby the one arm while still trying to get a good workout in.

It feels better than last week though.

Well, I hope everyone is having a good day. Love to all.

I am sure Hubby enjoyed the view. I DON'T like an audience and have run my "watcher" off more than once! Do be careful of your left arm...let it heal! Good job today!

Day 71 - Sunday, December 4, 2011

Sunday, December 04, 2011

Today was another wonderful day. The meeting was excellent as usual and we managed to get 2 more hours out in service after the meeting. Even though it was raining steadily. (I am just glad it wasn't snow! lol)

It was definitely worth the effort. We might even get a bible study going. Here is to hoping that comes true.

When we got home dinner was ready, as my hubby had put on some stew this am before we went to the meeting. (YUM YUM YUM!)

Now we are going to have a relaxing evening and maybe play a little scrabble on pogo. I send love to everyone and hope your day was as nice as mine. Joyce
