Regulating weight and lifestyle

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

I am not sure but I think that my weight goal may be too low. At my 139 weight I was really feeling good - but I am having trouble maintaining it. I am now at 142 and am staying there. I look healthy........... this may just be the right size for me. I can tone and continue to exercise for now and make the educated eating decisions that I have learned. I guess, I am hanging in there, but I am definately not depriving myself...........

Dunno - if I want to start back to the more regimented exercise...........

You may be right- I think you really have to go by what your body tells you and how you feel.
Numbers are just that -numbers.
You look terrific and sound like you feel terrific...keep it up and stay where you feel best!
Congrats! emoticon

Oops.... LADYLOCK-PALOOZA

Monday, April 07, 2008

Ok, so I had my final weigh in at work. I lost in total 18 lbs. unfortunately I celebrated with my absolute FAVORITE cookies - treats - ladylocks. I ate like as many as I could in five minutes and my husband really did comment - that looks so gross! So I said - just look away and let me have them! Ha ha. Seriously - it has been tough without someone to weigh me in this week. Geez. I didn't realize how much I depend on that! Accountability......... really does mean something.

Fortunately a group of us at work are going to continue our weekly weigh ins and we are going to chip in a buck each week and a buck for every pound we gain! So - really I have more to work for. I am very glad too. I thought I had such great self control - and I let it slip!

Starting over...........even though I feel a little guilty....... surely I can do this!!

At work Biggest Loser last weigh in was today - Thanks SP

Monday, March 31, 2008

I had the last weigh in at work today for our work contest. I lost three pounds on (the work scale) which took me to a grand total of 18 lbs lost. I do not think I won the contest because it was based on starting weight and percentage lost. I think that there were others who lost more and were smaller when they started............. how'd they do it? Dunno.

I don't think it matters............ I know I am doing this the healthy way and am glad. I do feel more informed when I learn all this great stuff off SP. This in turn makes me feel like I am able to make better decisions.

Thanks SP!

Hi Joann - congrats on 3 more pounds - 18 is a WONDERFUL accomplishment in 3 months. You've got a great attitude about the challenge at work - even if you didn't win the contest, you "won" by losing the weight in a healthy way. You're doing great - keep it up! Jean

Lost 15 lbs with SP - hooray! Whoopee!

Friday, March 21, 2008

I actually got to change my banner to lost 15. I am so glad it finally got here. I am hesitant to change my SP level up............ I don't think I am ready just yet.

I went clothing shopping........... when I first started this adventure of healthy eating I was 160 (when I joined SP I was 155) already - so my clothing was beginning to look a little ridiculous (in such a great way!) :)

New Measurements are:
Waist 31
Hips 40.25
Neck 12.5
I did purchase a rolled tape measure at WalMart the other day for approx. $1.25 because I did get frustrated with the paper one I printed out from SP.

My new pant size is a 10, my shirts are a medium, and I even have a new bra size! I am thrilled.

Very soon I am going to have my hubby take a new photo for me to update my page!

Woo Hoo! Way to go! I'm so happy for you! Isn't it wonderful to see the inches falling away. I love being able to buy smaller clothing. However, I don't think I was as thrilled about the new bra size! LOL

Keep up the good work!

Woo-hoo!!! Congrats on the milestone, and even more on the new sizes! It's amazing how quickly those lost pounds show in the fit of your clothes!

Alright? Who's standing on my scale?

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

The scale is still moving down fortunately. Slow but sure I guess. I did however slip today - had out of town guests......... I know - I could have made something healthier.......but - I wasn't going to have time to prepare a dinner coming from work......... so I guess I am alright - tomorrow is another day and I am ready to start anew! Yippee. I don't think one day will make or break me..... what does - are a whole bunch of good days together and consistency.
