New Week...New Challenge

11/21...well one BL challenge is ending and one is beginning. I'm glad to say that I didn't gain any over this challenge which makes me glad but I really was hoping to lose a pound or two. So the BL holiday challenge should be good. I'm hoping to maintain over the long holiday season. If I lose a pound or two it will be a huge bonus and a great way to begin the new year!

I know that I shouldn't get so hung up on the number on the scale but it's tough. Need to keep my motivation high as the holiday season approaches. Time to hit the resource center and find some articles to keep me on track.

Well I'm down one pound, not sure how that happened but I'll take it. Really stressed, I mean really stressed and just not functioning like I should. A lot of things are creeping up on me like the holidays, money/budget concerns and overall feeling of things out of control. I know that there are some things I can control and some I just can't. Tackling one thing at a time helps and trying to be proactive too helps.

So my plan for this week was to get some holiday shopping done and try to get to the gym three days this week. So far, I've planned what shopping I need to do and I've gotten to the gym once. Today my plan is to get to the gym this morning, go vote, get the dog to the vet and get a decent dinner prepared.

    Stress really makes it hard to lose weight and stick to a program. Just know that the only thing you can control is your response to things. Stick to doing exercise as much as possible as it can help relieve the physical signs of stress. Take some time for yourself - a walk outdoors, walking the dog (if you have one), or just going a different park for a change. Take care of yourself.

My motivation has been zero last week because of this cold I'm battling. No energy to do much and my eating has been all over the place. So I'm up one pound and I kind of expected that. Feeling better today so hopefully I'll get to the gym later to do a small workout.

  


Feeling Thinner Scale Doesn't Say So

Well I'm frustrated because I'm feeling thinner and my clothes are fitting better but the scale is stuck. I know that I shouldn't get that hung up about it which I'm not. I'm working out and watching what I'm eating. A few days I went over by about 50 calories or so but not too bad. So I'm sticking to this no matter what. I want to enter the holiday season knowing that I can maintain and not gain.

    How you feel is more important than what the scale says!! And if your clothes fit better changes are happening to your body...so, the scale will catch up if you stay motivated and on plan!
