drinking more water

Thursday, April 19, 2012

I've been trying to drink more water late. I'm succeeding because typically I drink close to none in a day. I'm still not getting in what I should, but I've been able to get in 40 oz while at work and then a little more when I go home at night. The problem is it seems to go right through me. I'm constantly in the bathroom at work or holding it and feeling miserable. I hope as I continue to drink more water that my body will get used to this and I won't have to use the facilities as often!

I'm not sure if you will or not...I typically drink 8-10 8 oz glasses a day and I'm forever using the facilities. Good luck with increasing your water!

Feeling somewhat guilty for taking care of me

Thursday, February 09, 2012

My kids and I leave the house at 7:15 every morning for school and work. My husband leaves at 6AM. I don't see any of them again until almost 5PM. I try to sit at the table with them to eat dinner even when I don;t get to eat what they are eating because I'm really focusing on my diet right now. Now that the weather is starting to get nicer I also want to go for walks or bike rides in the evening, but there is so little time to do this between getting home from work, making dinner, checking homework, studying for Bible Quiz (my kids extra curricular activity) and making sure both kids take showers before bedtime. So I was thinking about doing my exercise after I get their dinner on the table on the nights I'm not eating the same meal. So is it more important for me to exercise when I'm motivated and able to or should I keep that quality family time around the table? This is my dilema. I am really torn between the two. I believe family time is very valuable and if we could all go for a walk or bike ride together, that would be great, but I just don't see that happening without alot of stress in the evening to get everything else done. I have to work, so I can't take that out of my day. I do alot of crockpot meals for the family so meal prep is easy when I get off work. But everything together just takes so much time. My husband helps too, but he finds alot more time to exercise in the evening than I do. He gets off earlier than I do though. It sounds like I'm making excuses, I know. I just don't know where to cut back. emoticon

Month #1 down

Wednesday, February 08, 2012

I have a goal...2 pounds per week through July. I started January 9th so I'm one month down (tomorrow). Things are going good so far. I'm actually ahead of schedule. Yay me!

Starting the long stretch today.

Yesterday was the last holiday scheduled until Spring break. I'm glad to have a job, but I sure like those extra days off.

Sneak peeks are alright, but the real deal is better.

Friday, February 19, 2010

Okay so yesterday I blogged that my scale teased me showing a reading of 164.8 and then seconds later I got on to look again and it wouldn't give me that reading again. Well today it read 164.6 and it stuck. So yay! I got to log a lower weight today. I'm so glad to see the numbers going down after a couple weeks of stagnance. Is stagnance a word? So for all that are frustrated with teetering between a couple pounds and not seeing a real drop...Don't give up! It's just around the corner.
