My kids and I leave the house at 7:15 every morning for school and work. My husband leaves at 6AM. I don't see any of them again until almost 5PM. I try to sit at the table with them to eat dinner even when I don;t get to eat what they are eating because I'm really focusing on my diet right now. Now that the weather is starting to get nicer I also want to go for walks or bike rides in the evening, but there is so little time to do this between getting home from work, making dinner, checking homework, studying for Bible Quiz (my kids extra curricular activity) and making sure both kids take showers before bedtime. So I was thinking about doing my exercise after I get their dinner on the table on the nights I'm not eating the same meal. So is it more important for me to exercise when I'm motivated and able to or should I keep that quality family time around the table? This is my dilema. I am really torn between the two. I believe family time is very valuable and if we could all go for a walk or bike ride together, that would be great, but I just don't see that happening without alot of stress in the evening to get everything else done. I have to work, so I can't take that out of my day. I do alot of crockpot meals for the family so meal prep is easy when I get off work. But everything together just takes so much time. My husband helps too, but he finds alot more time to exercise in the evening than I do. He gets off earlier than I do though. It sounds like I'm making excuses, I know. I just don't know where to cut back.
