Life is Good!

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Many times, when I was having a hard time with one of my children, God would always remind me that He was having a harder time with me than I was with them.

Iliked this. How so very true. We often forget that WE are problems to our maker. I think our children can be good teachers for us, if we just look a little deeper. As in weight loss, we are our own worse enemies (cliche). Really though, change can only come through us.

You know about CHARLIE "TREMEDOUS" JONES?

I've got his BOOK! I've had it since my early 20's. Wow! Here I thought I was the only one that knows how he is!

Thanks for sharing! emoticon

Use All That You Have!

Monday, April 26, 2010

Charles Shultz compared life to a ten speed bicycle in that we have a lot of gears we don't use. Take a few minutes and review your virtues and abilities and frankly assess how much of them you are using. the number will be frightfully low. Make it a project to use a little more of your talents, virtues and abilities each day until you are able to optimize yourself!

    Super!

When cycling, I use most of my gears when going up a hill or riding into a fierce wind! Or when the terrain changes from moment to moment. So we in life when the going gets tough the tough get going. And we use much of what we have and who we are in the midst of the many changes in life. emoticon

When we just sit in the safe zone we are not going to be challenged to use much of ourselves. It is when we are willing to launch out that life will call us to maximize ourselves the most.

Good point! I used to have an acting teacher that said something similar. He said to use "all the colors on your pallette".

There ain't much fun in medicine, but there's a heck of a lot of medicine in fun.

Saturday! Yea!

Saturday, April 24, 2010

It's a rainy day but a rainy Saturday at home beats a sunny Wednesday at work! Hopefully this will was away the last of the pollen which has plagued us for the past several weeks. Also, when it rains I can't mow the lawn, a win-win if ever there was one!

It's Saturday and it's our day to do our things. Slept in a little, walked the dogs, had a leisurely breakfast, lunch, tonight is our date night....out for dinner.....It was a balmy, sunny day, but rain is predicted to start soon. I'm going to distract my self with

Some Thoughts on Driving

Friday, April 23, 2010

By Croft M. Pentz

It is dangerous to drive in a fog, especially if it's mental.

Racing through traffic could result in limping through life.

Men no longer leave footprints on the sands of time-just tire tracks.

Always drive as if your family were in the other car.

Driving a car is like playing baseball; it's the number of times you make it home safely that counts.
