I started 2008 at 262 pounds. During the year , I got down to 230, then became complacent and drifted back up to 246 at years end. Now, halfway through January, the magic number this morning was 240. Looking at snap shots, there were some great periods of weight loss and some not so great periods of weight gain. The big picture is that I am now 22 pounds lighter than I was a year ago and moving in the right direction. It appears that football season is my downfall, spending Saturday's at the ball field with the grandsons and tailgating at the college games. Recognizing and identifying the problem is half of the solution. This fall, more health tailgate food and fewer M&M's at the kids' games.
