Every Sunday morning, Robert Scheuller opens the Hour of Power by quoting the Psalm in the title.
In these stinkin' times, these words are an excellent guidepost. The stock market is in the toilet, the job market stinks, unemployment is rising, we are treated like animals on the way to slaughter if we want or have to ride on an airplane, but, to quote Dr. Pangloss in Candide, this is still the best of all possible worlds!
Recall the lament of the man who said "I felt sorry for myself for I had no shoes and then I met a man with no feet".
It is easy to focus on the negative but that produces nothing but what Zig Ziglar calls "stinkin' thinkin'" Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative, and don't mess with Mr. in between. Even if your glass is half empty, the half that isn't empty is full!
Look for the good things in your life and build on them.
Remember: This is a day the Lord has made, rejoice & be glad in it!
