Do It!

Sunday, June 17, 2012

Don't waste your time with "could've," "would've" or "should've." Focus on "can," "will," and "do."

Softball Saturday

Another weekend at the ballyard with the grand daughters' All Star teams. Good to interact with the youngsters and their parents as we celebrate a day-long event, jumping between three teams!

Yes, you are lucky. My only grandchild lives a 12 hour drive from me and I really miss her.

What You Feed Will Grow!

Friday, June 15, 2012

Research has shown that every emotion has a lifespan of just 90 seconds. After that we have to revive the emotions and get it going again. Stop "feeding" the emotion and it will go away.

A Chinese philosophy says that we have two beings growing within us, one for happiness and one for sorrow. only one of them can survive and it is the one we feed.

Woohoo - will add this to my vision collage. I tend to feed negatives and now I know if I just distract myself for 90 seconds this too shall pass. emoticon emoticon

Embrace Rejection!

Thursday, June 14, 2012

‎"There are no real successes without rejection. The more rejection you get, the better you are, the more you've learned, the closer you are to your outcome... If you can handle rejection, you'll learn to get everything you want."
~Anthony Robbins

Harlan Sanders was turned down by over 1100 people before he found the one who would finance his Kentucky Fried Chicken

Thomas Alva Edison denied that he had failed in over 1000 attempts to invent the incandescent lamp, he stated that he had successfully discovered over 1000 things that did not work.

If you do not "fail" you will never succeed ; for failure is nothing but success in finding ways that diid not work on the way to finding ways that do work, I have always loved making order of chaos and even more finding ways of creating processes that make overy complex rediculously manhoured processes into credibly simple computer processes. They say programmers are inherantly lazy and maybe we are as although I'm a secretary I majored in programming and I still love doing this!

Get Outside the Box!

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
~Neale Donald Walsch

Like yesterday, To get to second base you have to take your foot off first!

Risk
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for others is to risk getting involved.
To show your feelings is to expose your humanity.
To place your ideas and dreams before the crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To hope is to risk pain, and to try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing has nothing and is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, live or love.
Chained by his certitudes, or his addiction, hes a slave.
He has forfeited his greatest trait, and that is his individual freedom.
Only the person who risks is free.
~Leo Buscaglia
