Git 'R Done!

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

One's objective should be to get it right, get it quick, get it out, and get it over. You see, your problem won't improve with age.

Should have used that one when I was working. Think I will use it when gardening now!

Bounce Back!

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

I don't measure a man's success by how high he climbs but how high he bounces when he hits bottom.

~General George S. Patton

It takes twenty years to become an overnight success.

The best antique is an old friend.

Monday, September 12, 2011

The best friends are those with whom, when you haven't seen them is several weeks or months, or even years, you can sit down and talk as though you are continuing a conversation that was interrupted just a few minutes ago. If you have one such friend you are blessed, two and you are fortunate, three makes you rich beyond belief. Most people do not have one such friend.

Sorrow, Pride, Anger, Warning

Sunday, September 11, 2011

emoticon I watched the television coverage of the memorial ceremonies in New York, Washington, and Shanksville this morning and then I read the newspaper. Almost all of the comic strips were 9-11 related. The end result was a giant lump in my throat, sorrow for those lost, pride in America, and anger at those who undertook this atrocity.

Killing people is not a terrorist's goal. His goal is to scare hell out of everybody he didn't kill. Like the Phoenix, we must continue to rise from the ashes of 9-11 and LIVE! The attacks of 9-11 were senseless and were the acts of mad men intent only on seizing power for themselves. It is only by convincing the ignorant masses that the United States and her allies are evil, Satan if you will, that these megalomaniacs are able to maintain control over their subjects and keep them from coming over and reaping the benefits of our great land.

We must be ever vigilant and never forget for as Santyana told us "Those who choose to ignore history are doomed to repeat it!"

God blessed each 9-11 victim and welcomed them home, may God continue to bless America!
