Made it through

Thursday, December 27, 2012

This season is not my favorite. Been missing my son RILEY, and my sister Brenda who passed away 2 years ago the day after Christmas. Also with those young children dying just refreshed my pain. Although I will never know how the parents feel, I do know the pain of not having your child with you anymore.
I stayed home for most of the month not going out unless to do some walking but the weather messed that up. Now that those days have passed I am looking forward to the New Year, and am praying that good things come, for my family and friends.
I got my Zip from FitBit and am wearing it everyday, also been consistent in drinking my 9 cups of water and also trying really hard to post my foods to LoseIt. Now I just need to keep adding those exercise minutes anyway I can also I need to be consistent in taking my meds.
That.s it for updates emoticon

I know word can never fill the feelings we go through when we lose someone. My husband and I lost his sister this last Christmas eve. To say the holidays kinda sucked would be an understatement. I will keep you all in my prayers.

You have made great progress and having the fitbit will help I'm sure. You did make it through. Now on to taking care of yourself. Which includes taking your meds!

Happy New Year! :)

I understand exactly how you feel.
I am missing my daughter and my nephew.
The holidays bring it all back up again.

We can only do what we can do to get through.

Been a bad girl :(

Sunday, December 09, 2012

I've missed like 2 weeks of exercise and I am feeling those awful effects of it. My blood sugar going up and gaining weight.

For today I did walk one mile and tomorrow I will again also Zumba if I can find a ride. Thats it for updates

Keep up the focus on finding time to exercise! I encourage you! It's hard to get back when you've been away but it's so worth it. Treat yourself with exquisite love and compassion.

Best wishes!

Going down

Monday, October 15, 2012

Woohoo! got my HbA1c down. Although not into the required/recommended range but it is big accomplishment to me.
From 12.2 to 9.9 in three months time. Something is working, so going to pick up on the strength training and walking.

My top 10 Reasons

Sunday, September 30, 2012

I have gone back to using my Blogger and found this entry. It was made back in 2008 and still remains true today.
My top 10 Reasons to lose weight...
1. To get my diabetes in control (a1C of 7 or less)
2. To wear nice clothes and buy at a lesser price
3. To be able to sit in a restaurant booth comfortably
4. To be able to run and play with my grandchildren
5. To have sound sleep (no snoring)
6. To wear my favorite jewelry
7. To be able to buy something nice at Victoria's Secret
8. To be able to run, freely, maybe even in a marathon
9. To be able to help my family (they're always in a crisis)
10. To restore my body "GOD's temple"

5 of things that might be holding ME back this time.
1. Laziness
2. Busyness
3. Weather
4. Health condition
5. Family
I've listed these in the order that I think would hold me back first.

What healthy change I am going to do to get myself lose of this hold is; JUST DO IT!!! Every D@MN day for minimum of 15 minutes (exercise)
