WOw! I think I missed/messed this one. Although I didn't do as well as I could have I did participate more than I thought, does that make sense? OK I am challenged to do even better for the summer BLC Sapphire team.

I did get my blood sugars down, that is a very good thing. Now working on getting 2 miles of walking done a day.

I am having so much trouble controlling my blood sugar these days. It has affected me to the point that I have quit my job.
I haven't quit on me though, cause I can do this and control my diabetes. Today I start on a healthier me and will get my Diabetes A1c to 8.0 or less.

    Really truly try to focus on one meal at a time and try to concentrate on your emotions and why you are eating what you eat. Even if it doesn't change how or what you eat right now, being aware is a big step in that direction. I hope you can resolve or come to terms with your emotions. I know what deep emotional trauma you endure so I pray that you find some peace because without peace, we all swim up stream.

    Please make sure you are checking in with your doctor, and being honest with them. Your health is super important! You can do it, it will not be easy, but we know you can :)

    I'm newly on this diabetes journey and have learned so much in the last few weeks about lowering/managing blood sugar. I'm curious what things you are doing to lower/regulate your sugars? If you share, perhaps I can add some of the recent research I've found to your plan?

    I wish you luck with this, but the reality is that quitting your job may be the fix you need. I don't know what you do for a living but I worked night shift in a job I loved. I had to go out on disability for another reason, but after I quit working my A1c dropped to 6.8 and has been there ever since. In my case I think it was just the physical stress of working a 13 hour night shift for so many years.
Take this time to help yourself get to a healthier place in your life. You certainly have the right attitude! Good luck to you!!!

    It is always tough to give up or lose a job, especially in this economy; but if the job was causing you a lot of stress that might have been contributing to your high blood sugar. If that was the case, perhaps it will turn out to be a good thing for your health.

    I feel for you. I have also been desperately trying to lower my a1c, it is so hard sometimes. I had a blood sugar reading of 406 today... not good! It's too bad that it ended up affecting your employment. I'm so sorry, but I'm also happy to hear that you are not giving up! You and I can both get this under control!

    Awww I'm so sorry to hear that your having so much trouble with your sugar ..... I hope you can get on the right track and start feeling better. Maybe you needed to quit working for a while to concentrate on you, glad you have a positive attitude about not quitting on you!!!!
