My own thing

Sunday, September 26, 2010

Ok, so I didn't come close to winning in the Shed the Frybread challenge, so I gonna be doing my own thing, and that is to exercise 5-6 days a week. Eat more protein, and fruit. I will take supplements as needed or directed by my doctor and restart the (regular)insulin.
My blood sugars have been running really high and the effects are becoming more frequent. The regular insulin caused me to gain weight but I need it now and if it's the only thing that will help to get my sugars down then I'll do it.
So here is my plan for exercise
Monday - Curves
Tuesday - Walk 40+ minutes/Hula class
Wednesday - Curves
Thursday - Walk 40+ minutes/Hula class
Friday - Curves
Saturday - Curves

Possibly Circuit training with the coed group on Monday/Wednesday, we will see. Have blessed week Sparkfamily

Keep on working on it Joanne. If you need the insulin take it and keep exercising and work on the diet end to and you can work your way back off it. You can do it.

So far this week I've done 3 days in a row of exercise which is a wonderous thing for me, and since I don't have anything planned tomorrow I'm gonna make it 4 days.
I wish I could run. So I can just get up and go . . .

you may not be able to run but if you can walk that's a start. I find that when I want to get up and go run, I go for a walk.. it's not the same I know but it does get me one step closer to running!

Waiting . . .

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Ok, my dughters due date is very near and the anticipation is getting to me. But I am in control I will NOT eat mindlessly.
So Thursday my daughter and her doctor have decided to induce labor and get this going. I am happy with this decision, and to finally know if it's a girl or boy. We are thinking and hoping it is a girl, cause I bought pink stuff, but if not it's all good, a new grandbaby is a blessing.
For now I've kinda put off the exercise cause I didn't want to leave my daughter alone for to long, but next week I am getting the exercise on for 5-6 days of the week. Also for now I am downing my water and the fruit/vegs all day long.
Oh yes I am so happy to have my computer back. Have a blessed week Sparkfriends emoticon

That last little bit before the baby arrives is tough--the anticipation is maddening! Good job in not letting it turn into an excuse for mindless overeating. Congratulations to you all!

On this day, . . .

Saturday, September 04, 2010

On this day, God wants you to know
... that the weight you carry on your shoulders is much too heavy for one human being. Give some of that weight where it belongs, - to God, and have faith that what happens is for the best, whether you understand it or not.

Yes it's true I have weight, the burden of grief. Two friends have passed away and although they will be missed dearly I know that any suffering they had is gone. . . But how can I say that? It's like I'm saying it's better for them. My mind is so confused. These two gentlemen had wives and a family and were still much needed.

Thank you GOD for your understanding emoticon So I don't have to carry this burden.

Their families will see them again. Death to this fleshly body is life to the soul. You're right, any pain they had in life is now gone. Their families and you are in my prayers.

It is so hard to lose friends and loved ones. Both of my parents are dead and it was so very difficult to accept. It does get easier over time. God Bless you.
