So close. . . .

Thursday, June 10, 2010

I weighed today just to see where I am and my scale said 320. It feels so good to see a zero but to see a one in there would be really great. I haven't seen 31? in a long time. I hope this stays or minuses one by Monday.
Ok well I off to get in my 1.5 mile in for today, you all have fabulous Thursday and I'll see you lighter emoticon

Breaking even

Monday, June 07, 2010

Well, no movement on the scale for me this week. I knew it was going to be like this I lost track of my food and didn't journal or at least not the whole week. Also It is so hot and humid that I just retain water.
I am going to step up on the exercising by doing more days. I will walk the 1.5 miles on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursdays and then do 20 minutes or a mile of the other 3 days and taking Saturdays as my day off.
Thats it for updates, have a blessed week Sparkfriends

here on SPARK there was an article that told us that when we are exercising, we can perspire (as women we 'glow', i know) as much as 2 cups/ hour...
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
so we need to replenish that within the hour after exercising to not go into dehydration...
i am suggesting 6 cups a day MIGHT be why you retain water--your body holds onto it if it feels like it is not getting ample to survive...in the summer they suggest the recommended 8 cups/day should be increased to 10-12 cups...and there are many camps that suggest for every 10 pounds overweight that we are, we should add a cup of water to our minimum 8 cups...most articles regarding water intake make a point of saying that MOST of us are in a state of partial dehydration...
give it a shot...i suggest try a week of being absolutely sure to get 10 cups in a day and see if that makes a difference--FOR ME...water is about the only liquid i take in...sometimes i'll have a green tea or an iced tea if i get a little hungry (or antsy for food) and it's not really time to eat or ACTUAL hunger, just craving...and a flavored water helps curb that...
i wish you the very best...keep at it(i'm cheering me on while i'm telling you"keep at it") emoticon

Warrior Within

Monday, May 24, 2010

Thank you all for your comments emoticon emoticon emoticon
***************
Warrior Within is persevering
This morning I went walking for 30 minutes, had an on plan breakfast, but after that I know I had way too many carbs and protein. I did drink my water, and journaled my food. I do have some fruit but it will put me over my calorie limit, but I'll eat it anyway.
Okay, for my 100 mile challenge I have only completed 3.35 miles BUT if I walk 1 mile a day I should finish on time. My personal goal is to walk at least 2-3 miles per day to get it done before the end date. So tomorrow will be my first to try to do a 1 1/2 mile AM and PM walk, so I'll blog to tell how it went.

You all have a blessed week SPARKFRIENDS, I love you all

Great, you have a plan. Take your time, IF you dont' make the 100 miles by the time you specified, so be it. You did your best and that's good enough. You are changing your life for the better emoticon

Being sincere

Sunday, May 23, 2010

I told Simone I was with her about getting back on track, but my actions today were in no way straight. I mean I only got the eating, of one meal done right and failed at everything else.
SIMONE, I'm sorry emoticon I will do better tomorrow, I have plans and I'm not going to let anything stop me. I'm ready! I'm ready!

Joann, just look around you. ALL OF US, every one of us fail, continually. Each time we pick up another good habit and new way of doing things. It's not an "all or nothing" kind of thing.

It's a new way of living, that we have not traveled before. So it takes time, but it's definitely worth the journey.

WE are here for you. Keep blogging we'll keep following you and helping along this MOST BEAUTIFUL Journey to a new better relationship with food and other areas of our lives.

We realize WE CAN DO IT!

Try to focus on the positive steps you take. You ate a good meal, that means you can do it. You can do it again too! Eating one good meal a day is already better than many people do. Now you work up from there. It doesn't matter how many times you fall, just how many times you get back up and try again. You can do this!

emoticon Joe anne, it's ok. I wasn't perfect yesterday either but I did get my water and exercise in. Learn from yesterday and make your plan for today! YOU CAN DO THIS. Baby steps. Start by making small changes so you don't overwhelm yourself. Make up a list of one or two Fast Break Goals and set them up here on the goals page. emoticon emoticon emoticon
