Warrior Within is persevering
This morning I went walking for 30 minutes, had an on plan breakfast, but after that I know I had way too many carbs and protein. I did drink my water, and journaled my food. I do have some fruit but it will put me over my calorie limit, but I'll eat it anyway.
Okay, for my 100 mile challenge I have only completed 3.35 miles BUT if I walk 1 mile a day I should finish on time. My personal goal is to walk at least 2-3 miles per day to get it done before the end date. So tomorrow will be my first to try to do a 1 1/2 mile AM and PM walk, so I'll blog to tell how it went.

I told Simone I was with her about getting back on track, but my actions today were in no way straight. I mean I only got the eating, of one meal done right and failed at everything else.
SIMONE, I'm sorry I will do better tomorrow, I have plans and I'm not going to let anything stop me. I'm ready! I'm ready!
Just about a month ago Jillian was here in our community. She is doing a special presentation about Native Americans and had chosen a family here in this community as her subjects.
The day this picture was taken, the people in the community had planned a welcome event for her and the camera crew. I came to the event which was at the local park, and waited for her to arrive. The family that was chosen was there also and asked us all to welcome them. There was food to be served but I wasn't planning to stay long to eat. After the speech I went right up to her and hugged her and my sister took a picture and then I left. Sorry guys it wasn't a big hoopla meeting but I just wanted a picture.
The rest of the story, is that she upset quite a few people because she threw out a whole box of freshly cooked bread. I agree that it was not healthy food but someone had taken the time to cook it and she didn't have to eat it if she didn't want to.
Anyway Jillian and the crew were here about a week and had even done a community health walk, but I was busy that day and didn't make it. But next month Jillian is scheduled to come back for more filming and updates on the chosen family. Also there is some Native cultural events happening, so maybe then I will get to really meet her then.

This past week I have been re-organizing my kitchen, to make it mine. Now I just need to re-learn how to cook, OK not really but at least healthier food that my family will eat.
I've been journaling my food on my IPOD with the LoseIt application. I really like it cause you don't need an internet connection and I can take it with me everywhere. Oh yea, I got my Curves toning shoes and am loving them.
Well got to go add some exercise minutes to my day. You all have a great evening
I've kinda been not at home so much this week. I'm even driving more, and I'm feeling like I'm getting brave or is it control? I know that things will not change unless I am willing to let it change, I know that GOD has more for me to do, I just need to get past this fear. Depression can really bea block to growth but I am doing my best to get through it.
I did sign up for a 100mile walk challenge which will start on Monday and last until September. The group that is sponsoring this will be giving us T-shirts when we finish and Nikes for the first to finish, also we should be getting our pedometers today sometime.
