Late start

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

My FP4H group started their new session on Monday and I am already 3 days behind, in the bible study and with exercise. I was out of town for the weekend and the Monday and Tuedays as well but for a funeral for an Uncle-inlaw.
Now that I am home I will get in the exercise, and planning my meals. I did ok for healthy eating while on my trip, and I for sure downed the water, only because it was hot and I felt dehydrated. (sinus cold) Being sick didn't help, just made me thirsty.
I also hope to catchup on my bible study today, and write in my prayer journal. So I'll be back later for updates.
You all have a blessed week Sparkfriends

Glad you feel like you're getting back on track!!! Thanks so much for the goodie and encouragement. I'm trying to get back on the exercising track. I've been so busy that I'm not making enough time for regular and consistent exercise. We can push each other back on that track! Kim emoticon

Another pause

Wednesday, November 04, 2009

This week will be a go with the flow on the agenda. But come Friday we are heading out of town for a mini vacation.
I promise, I will keep up with my healthy habits of drinking water, eating fruits, taking my meds and do at least 10 minutes of exercise daily.
I kinda of have the blahs this week, no motivation but I am hoping that this weekend will refresh and inspire me.

You all have beautiful week, and fun weekend Sparkfriends

Sticking to your plan while on vacation can be challenging (just try finding Low-Fat milk on the Strip in Las Vegas emoticon) but knowing that you DID IT is the best feeling in the world.

Have a wonderful, safe time and Good Luck on staying on track.

Looser again :)

Monday, October 26, 2009

I did good this week and lost 2 pounds. This is due to the portions that I have and also doing the best I could with what we had to eat. I know the exercise minutes need to increase and tonight is my time, I hope to do at least 30+ minutes of walking and weights, but we'll see.

Progress :)

Friday, October 23, 2009

My diabetes A1c is going down, it is 7.7 from a previous 8.7 back in July. My doctor said all my other labs were good too.

My next goal is to get the A1c below 7.0 so I need to continue with the healthier eating and add more exercise. Also by the doctors scale I lost 3 pounds.

"Thank you Lord for your saving grace and inspiration from my sparkfamily. Amen"

I too am diabetic so I can truly celebrate with you on your HA1c levels. I am in the 7 ranges also. I know they are going down. I fear diabetic complications and do not want to have any due to my own undisciplined living.

Good for you. I have no health problems but have friends that do so I know how important it is to get that A1c down. It will keep you from kidney and eye trouble down the road. Great job!

Having faith

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Last week Tuesday my internet service was disconnected due to late payments (83.90) and I was so lost without it. I know that our budget was tight and I didn't think we'd be able to pay and get reconnected, but I prayed about it, and I even wrote the amount on a paper and put it in a special place. Although I still worried about it during the week, I did try and borrow from my family (6peeps) and only one was able to help, so I left the rest to GOD, that if we are to get our service back that it will be provided and that I wouldn't have to borrow from anyone else and by his grace I was able to get $43 and then my husband pitched in the other $20, he even took me to pay my bill. Oh I am so very happy and Thank GOD for this blessings.
As for my weight loss, I am losing about 1 pound a week and I am ok with that for now because each one counts.
I am blessed, and I pray that you all will be too.

A pound a week is an excellent rate, good for you! A good sustainable rate that is good for your body. Rapid weight loss is hard on the body.

And congrats on the answer to prayer! God is good, even when we get into difficulty, he is there.
