Challenged-WW Back on Track

I gained this week, but it makes me more determined to move. I have membership with the WeightWatchers online and they have issued a 4 week challenge and I am signed up.
For this week, it was to get back on the scale and thats what I did, revealing my current weight 339, I also posted my "What change will I make" and that was to exercise 3x at 15+ mintues.
Day 1 done with 30 minutes of exercise

    You are back on track and that's what matters. I too gained some weight back, but this week is the first weigh in for the Biggest Loser challenge and it's time to get serious.

You can do it - you have the right frame of mind.

Ok, now I am ready to keep moving. My weight stayed the same for two weeks now (336), so I need to get moving, with more exercise, and the water. I went out of town for the weekend and i still feel bloated and constipated.

I lost about 1/4 pound this week, and I am happy about that, cause to me it's progress. Goals for the week:
4 days of 15+ minutes of exercise
2 fruits servings daily
2 milk servings daily
and catch up on my FP4H Bible study

    As long as you are moving towards your goals - progress is great!! I like that you set goals for the week. I think I need to follow your great example and set some mini goals each week. So my goals for this week will be to
1) Exercise for 15+ minutes per day
2) 3 fruits/vegetables per day
3) go to bed at a reasonable time in order to get enough sleep each night

My daughter "Camie" has been asked to be a part of her cousin's wedding next February. She has decided to lose some pounds for this event, since she has been working she has lost some weight already and looks really good.
Camie started going to the fitness center, at least 3 times this week, and asked me to go with her. I did make it twice but it seems I have no motivation to do anything, except today. Since no one was home, (except my grandson) I decided to pop in a WATP cd and did that. I felt good after and now decided I'll try that again tomorrow.
I'm guessing that since my diabetes BS reading are a lot better, then I'm doing ok, but that's not true. I realize now that to get off the insulin I have to exercise, so I am determined to reach this goal. Have a great weekend ya'll emoticon

    Try a variety of different things until you find something that works for you and that you really enjoy. For me, it's aerobics and jogging in the pool. you can look at different free videos here on Spark People or you can rent exercise dvds or even get free from the library. When you find a few that you enjoy, invest in them!

    Finding the right exercise for you is important. If you can't get excited about the gym, then it's wise to start with your cd. Just be sure you are working out hard enough to get those endorphins pumping. :) Eventually, you will plateau with the cd and maybe then you'll be more interested in the gym. If you DO the cd and are consistent, you'll have better results than only going to the gym occasionally when you feel like it. So if you aren't determined, then maybe it's because that's not the right thing for you right now. Once you find your "groove" you'll find your determination. It helps to pray! Have you ever heard Selah (Nicol Sponberg) sing "What a friend we have in Jesus. All our sins and griefs to bear. What a privilege to carry EVERYTHING to Him in prayer. Oh what peace we often forfeit...oh what needless shame we bear, all because we do not carry EVERYTHING to G-d in prayer"? That song motivates me so much. You can listen on YouTube. I am finding that when I struggle, if I pray, G-d helps me past that struggle. I was really not determined and was fearful. Then I prayed and asked G-d to help me gain momentum and He did. I'm only down about 5 pounds and I have 63 to go *big sigh* but I am doing what so many people say on here...I'm not focused on losing 68 pounds, I'm focused on losing ONE pound. Just keep losing the next pound. We can do this!! emoticon

    When I joined in December, I was really motivated. I was about to turn 40 and about 45 pounds overweight. I did great for several months then just dropped it. Couldn't really get motivated to do anything about it. Got back in July taking smaller steps and making shorter term goals for myself. Now I really think I can do this without getting burned out.

    When I joined sparkpeople last Nov 08 I was taking 5 injections a day for my diabetis. I have lost 22 pounds so far now I am only taking 4 injections a day. Next month I may go down to 3 a day. My bs are really great and I now walk to my mp3 at my own pace I do about 3 walks a day 15 to 30 min each. THIS COULD BE YOU. It is so doable. Get with it and put yourself first you deserve it.

    I think it's a great idea to just focus on your goal for tomorrow...doing a workout DVD. That is totally doable and not overwhelming. I think we all get overwhelmed sometimes when we make huge, grand plans for ourselves...for example "I'm gonna workout everyday!" What is more realistic and encouraging is to say "I'm going to walk 1 mile tomorrow." That way we are able to easily reach our goals and don't feel bad because we failed. You're doing great. Keep it up, my friend.

    I find in order to lose I have to exercise,,,and I hate it. I'm hoping one day I will wake up and love it. I find posting and reading blogs help me out alot too. But if you do find the key to ''loving exercising '' please share it with me!!

My movement for today

Although I didn't get to do a morning walk, I did make it to Church (it's been awhile) and today after dinner, my husband surprised me by asking me to go for a walk with him. It was probably about 15 minutes but it was enough for me. Every little bit helps.

    I have been reading that breaking up your exercise into smaller increments is just as good, maybe it would be easier for you to do 10 or 15 min in the morning and then 10 or 15 in the evening? I would love to exercise in the morning for a few minutes but can't make myself get out of bed in time before work! Glad you got to go to Church this week. : ) teri
