Day 2 is Done

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Woohoo! I did a 25 minute walk and 5 mintes on the bike. It feels good just like yesterday, my only upset is that I went to the fitness center alone, all of my family bailed on me. Ok I'm ready for day 3, but I got to decide, should I go to Curves or stay with the fitness center? Well I'll figure it out by tomorrow, I am off to get my beauty rest.     Way to go - you have more strength and commitment than I do. When my Mom backs out on me I don't make it to the Gym, I haven't gotten the courage to go without my backup buddy yet. Keep it up - Hopefully I'll get there soon.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! It's all about baby steps.....and exercise is definitely right up there!!

I'm back to leg lifts and walking out to the mailbox every two days, which includes stairs. Each day we will be able to do a bit more until these "firsts" will just be a memory away.

Keep up the great work!! YOU are so worth the healthy journey!!!!

Weekend stuff

Saturday, April 25, 2009

Tomorrow, it's the beginning of a full week of work for me. Yet I feel bummed, no real interest to get back there.....I finished the twilight series books, maybe thats why I feel lost. I do have other books I need to finish so I guess I can read those. Other than that there's no other updates, oh yes I was thinking about taking walks near the river but then last night we were told to watch out because of a mountain lion which has been seen in the area. We have cattle and horses which are about 1/4 mile from the and the river, so that is why we were informed. Well thats it for now.

I guess that's one of the big perks of leaning on God. We have things we don't wanna do, and do them anyway. I love the passage from the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus is praying. Even he, the God of the universe, had things to do he didn't feel like doing. But he did them anyway. Luke 22:42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."

If Jesus himself had days when he just didn't wanna, it should be no surprise when I have them. The secret is to use his strength, and do what he did. Do it anyway.

Usually, once we get past that initial 'don't wanna' phase, it isn't so bad. He did this, we can do this!

    Hi,
I just finished the series too. I watched the movie and then got the books. I guess I just had to see how the story line would work out. My husband is so glad that my nose is out of the book for a little bit.

I can also relate to how your feeling. Hoping the sun is shining where you are. Maybe you could sit outside and finish one of your other books in the fresh air. Getting out even for a little bit helps me a lot.

Wishing you a peaceful week.

sometimes i feel that way & it's usually related to hormone changes during my cycle.... it's a good time to pamper yourself a bit more, but don't quit, just do what you can and don't fret the rest. get good sleep & hopefully you'll be feeling it better soon :)

My prayer

Monday, April 13, 2009

Today I rededicated my body to God, "Lord, I present my body to You this day as a "living sacrifice' and ask You to help me be a good steward of this temple of Your Spirit. I know that when I present my body to you as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God I am submitting my entire being totally to you. I acknowledge my dependence upon you for physical, spiritual, mental and emotional health. I need your help Lord. Thank you for hearing my prayer today."Amen

Missing it

Saturday, April 11, 2009

This was a bad week to restart, because I wasn't even home and then I had to work a swing shift. But it's never to late to just start where I'm at now, so here I go ..............

Hang in there, I read this today on BBWKITTENS blog... I just love it..

"I really hope i can keep this up, it is hard to lose weight, but I keep telling myself that yes, it IS hard to lose weight, but it is even HARDER to be FAT! "
Hard on the joints
Hard on the health
Hard to just get around

I hope this week goes better for you.

Those bad days happen once in awhile. All you have to do is take one step right now, eat some veggies or get up and move for a few minutes, drink an extra glass of water, to start over again. You will do this! All those small choices add up and will get you to your goal no matter how many setbacks. All it takes is the forward steps being more than the ones going back!
