Beginning again!

I started back with SparkPeople on 1/1/13 and now have 1 week of eating much better and doing just a little exercise. I have lost 2 pounds and that makes me excited that maybe I will stick with this and lose even more. I have done it before with you all and I think I can do it again!

I want to thank all of you for your comments and goodies for my being selected as the Motivator of the Day. I really appreciate all of you. Here I am Again

It seems I can only manage to get in here once/month. I am still walking daily during the week for 2-1/2 to 3 miles each day. I also have returned to the gym for circuit training (like Curves). I went 3 days week before last then lost all of last week due to my brother-in-law passing away and all the family and friends were at my house. I have gone back to the gym this week though every day and I am going to try to continue to do that. I will lose Mon and Tues due to the holiday and then I am going to Omaha with my Granddaughter to the zoo on Tuesday.

  I am so sorry that you lost your DH after being together all those years. And also, just when you are retiring and would be able to spend more time together. I am sure you will meet your goals since you are dedicated to your health! It is good you have such a large family to be able to lean on (or they lean on you). My DH and I are in our early 70's now, and I start thinking about one or the other of us being alone. Time slips away rapidly!

Keep up your good work and do travel then you can! We are looking to hear great things about your success!

Not Doing Too Bad

I am not back on track totally, however, I am eating much better. I have not had any candy for several days now. That was one of my big problems. Only a couple of desserts in the last week. I am eating lots of salads now and over all just trying to eat more healthy. I am still walking at least 2.5 miles/day. I do have to get back to the strength training too. I'm trying to catch up on all my emails still but making a BIG dent in them!

Looks like you're off to a great start. I hate giving up the desserts too, but have been making the fat free sugar free Jello pudding. It really tasts good. And when you need chocolate it works! Wish I could join you on those walks.

    Glad to hear you're back on the wagon, Rosy. Traveling is always a challenge. However, can't stay home just so you have better control of what you eat. Trick is to find the balance. Keep up the good work (and dump the candy :))

    I've just got back on track with my exercise. DD who lives in the apartment bought a Wii Fit and I am doing yoga and strenghth training when I get home from work, no matter how late. DH decided that I should yoga, take a hot bath, and if I am still awake, eat dinner. It has helped me to relax and sleep better. Also, I am doing at least a 2 mile walk every morning before work. Keep up the good work. It is good to see you posting again! I'd also say, don't work too hard, but I have to really work on that myself!

Just Checking In......

The good news is I have not gained any more weight, of course I haven't lost any either! I am still walking 2.5 miles a day, 5 days a week and sometimes 6 days. My problem is that my eating is out of control. Yesterday and today I have done very well now if I can just continue to do so. I am working a lot and don't really have much time for getting on the computer and after being on it all day working, don't want to get on it.

I wanted to say hello to all my good friends out here and let you know that I have not forgotten you and I still love you all. I am cleaning up my emails from not being on SP since February. I had 743 emails from SP and now down to 400. I will try to make an effort to get them all cleaned up and get in to the teams very soon.
