Two weeks down

Well today is my two week mark of the 30 day shred. I have been eating clean and no alcohol for over two weeks . I feel great except my knees are a little sore but I can deal. Still on level two and except for the squats with the v raises (hate them) I'm doing well with all the moves.
Can't wait to see what level three has to offer!!
Went for my first bike ride of the year today. What a great day it is with all the sunshine woo hoo!!! I'm going to try and bike at least twice a week not so much for the workout but because I love it!!!

Well I'm on day five of the 30 DS and boy am I sore!!! This 30 day thing is going to be very challenging for me because on top of it I'm trying not to drink for 30 days lol No I don't have a drinking problem but every weekend there is some function or some party were I like to have a few social drinks. So here's hoping I can resist the urge to PARTY lol!! The 30 day shred isn't so bad but I'm still on level 1 so we will see.... Well off to kickboxing , advanced I'm in now and getting my butt kicked but I love it !!! emoticon

    I'm with ya on the drinking thing. Of course today is the first time in 3 weeks I've had some beers. Caps are in the playoffs and the guys are over. Gotta be social. I give myself one cheat day a week and it looks like today is my cheat day =)

    Jodi - I am so proud of you for sticking to the 30 day shred - honestly - I recieved it from netflix and never even put it in the DVD player - I returned it... :( shame on me.

But you have inspired (or guilted) me into doing it again! I will re-order it and give it a shot.

    Excellent challenge! 30 Day Shred and 30 Day drinking! Drinking can so sneakily and easily pile on calories so I absolutely think that you will see results just from that! My hardest part about weekends is DOING MY WORKOUTS. It's so easy to just want to take it "off" from everything so I have to really get disciplined to do my workouts.

We also keep hard boiled eggs on hand. If we are going to be going out to eat or over to a friends house I will eat one so that way I have a little protein in me to assist with conquering all the "temptations".

Tomorrow is my Day 5 and it certainly is a challenge! I'm trying to push myself hard too so I can be geared up and ready to go for level 2!

Woo Hoo

Going to pick up my fur baby today!! I'm so excited !! Also got on the scale and one pound down from the 6 I gained Woo Hoo!! Before I go to Calgary, my sister and I are doing a 5k and tomorrow I have a stair challenge through my boot camp. So I feel I'm getting back on track and being accountable emoticon I hope all my fellow sparklers have a great, exciting, fantastic weekend!!!

Not being accountable

Well it's been a hard three weeks, my dog is really sick . She has been in a vet hospital in a different city than where I live , so a lot of hotels and a lot of eating out. I tried the first few days to make good choices like two poached eggs on dry whole wheat toast with tomato slices for breakfast , for lunch chicken salad no dressing and so on but after a few days of stress I failed my self and started eating poorly . Actually I also was eating anything I could get my hands on !! So now three weeks later and up 6 pounds and I'm wondering if everytime life throws me some hard balls am I always going to fail??? I was not being accountable at all !! Should be no excuses , Even the hotel has a gym and I didn't use it once. Well no one to blame but my self and now I have 6 extra pounds to lug around. So hopefully I can learn from this and next time life throws something at me I will think about the consequences and be accountable!!

Two years...

Today is my two year spark anniversary!! WOO HOO! I would like to thank sparkpeople for their AMAZING, AWESOME and FREE site!! The past two years I have read, learned and used a lot of different information that your site has provided for FREE! Just wanted to give a shout out to all the people that make this site so wonderful!!! emoticon Also thank-you to everyone else who has given information and support throughout the years!! My spark wish this year is to learn to love who I am even with some extra pounds ( more to love right )
