Day 4 Scale vs Inches

Sunday, March 04, 2012

Just an early mourning check in before church and then the WII and the Gym.

The scale is not moving they way I want so I remebered that Muscle weighs more than Fat. So I have been burning fat but replacing it with muscle emoticon So I took my measurements. I have lost 7.5 inches this month so far emoticon

Small Steps - Already over 225 minutes day 3

Saturday, March 03, 2012

Well day three . . .
I wish I could say I still was feeling good. I got up late and had a late start going to the pool. I did not have a healthy breakfast….MacDonnald’s Sausage Breafkast Burritos are not good.

Spent 90 minutes in the pool today, the Whirlpool is down until after the 10th. Bummer

Went to my folks to see my daughter and grandsons, and got one that came home with me. Adding a 7 year old boy to my already built in cheering section was not a great idea.

Oh well the scale is not moving the way I would like but after looking at the last couple days of food I noticed my Sodium levels are all over the place….

Another change made. Removed all salt from the house and replaced with Mrs. Dash. I am going to try to change from using salt to use other spices and see if that helps.

Well this make my total 226 minutes and only 774 left or about 28 minutes a day until the end of the month. So I might really make this goal… Only time and small steps will tell

Small Steps Day 2 - Changes are Happening WooHoo

Friday, March 02, 2012

To say I slept like a rock would be an understatement. emoticon I did my workout just before dinner. I could have eaten dinner and crashed. I am only counting the cardio minutes I do Strength workouts are just additional.
Who knew that 45 minutes of cardio would make me so tired I did not feel like eating. Imagine that me not want to eat. emoticon I needed to get my nutrition numbers up or I would have just gone to bed.
This has taught me to rethink the need to stay up and watch all the TV shows I like that are on each night. emoticon I have a DVR and record them anyhow. Now I think I have gotten to the understanding that all I really need to do is to only stay up until maybe 10:30 instead of 12:45 or later.
I find I do not have the time to sit down a play video games. emoticon My Nephew in the Air Force loves to engage me in marathon battles of “Call of Duty Black Ops” I am 48 and was terrible. I bought the game for my WII just to have a clue when he comes back on leave. When he is here we play on XBOX so there are differences.
I hate to admit it but my WII and the game added to my weight. So I am going to use my Wii for good not evil.
I usually do: advanced rhythm boxing; (Advanced) Island Lap; Rhythm Step; Skateboard; Advanced Snowball Fight. emoticon emoticon emoticon Then I do my regular routine:
Yoga emoticon
• Deep Breathing
• Half Moon
• Sun Salutation
Strength emoticon
• Torso Twists – Standing and turning side to side with arms out
• Torso Twists – Same as above but bring opposite knee to hand to touch
• Jackknifes

My Routine is done after the 45 minutes.

Well that is all for today. We have snow and Tomorrow I am going to the Gym(Wellness Center) to swim for 1 ½ hours…..

Until tomorrow Happy Sparking
And Keep Working it!
