Day 7 and 8: 17 Day Diet (Cycle 1)

Day 7 was good overall. I did have one part of the day where I was really hungry. I didn't eat much for lunch. So, I think that has something to do with it.

Day 8 was wonderful. Food was right on track and I started exercising again. My husband and I are doing Insanity for 60 days. It's really nice having someone to help motivate me. It was also a feat to get him to do it. Actually, it's over 12 years in the making. He's not a person that likes to exercise. He's always been really skinny. Lately, he's gained a few pounds. His reason for doing Insanity though is to get fit and be able to play with our kids that we'll have one day. Love him! I got a good one. I am a little worried about my dinner and the sodium content. Mondays are my late night and I stopped at KFC to get us some grilled chicken. I just got a grilled chicken breast and gave my husband the sides. I made my own veggies to serve on the side. It was very filling and really hit the spot. I am worried about how much sodium was in the chicken though. We'll see if I blow up tomorrow. I really wish I could just by the chicken breast without all of the sides and stuff.

I forgot to blog last night. So, I'll just have to combine the past couple of days. I have been on track. My husband has been cooking for me. So, it's much easier. I think I also have him talked into starting Insanity with me. I don't know how I did it. Under his horoscope for his birth date it says, "...physical activity is looked at as unnecessary..." Describes him perfectly.

Feeling even better today! I'm feeling more energetic. Usually, at this point, I am having some detox symptoms still. I'm not having any. Maybe I was eating better than I thought I would.

I'm starting to think I could just live off of eggs, turkey burgers, and cauliflower. I bought kale to make kale chips and got some more yogurt. Scale was down another 2 lbs. this morning. I know that it's all water weight but I'll take it.

I'm making a crustless quiche in the morning to have for breakfast for the next couple of days. It tastes so good!!! I just hope I can keep my husband out of it. He also bought a few Mediterranean cookbooks. He is about be a chef at a new tapas wine bar here in town. So, he was doing research. There were several recipes that I can actually have. Really excited to experiment with some new recipes.

    emoticon Sounds like you are doing great! I bought cauliflower yesterday! :-) I made some "fried rice" with some a few weeks ago so I am thinking I will do that again. It was so good! Please share any recipes that you can! I am always looking for 17DD ones!

Day 3 is coming to a close. Most of all a good day today. I am missing a cup of green tea. I think I might just go get some. I went out to eat tonight. I had the grilled chicken salad with Italian dressing on the side. Just dipped and didn't even use half of it. I actually woke up feeling great this morning. Best I've felt in a long time.

Day 2: 17 Day Diet (Cycle 1)

Better day today. I've had a really bad headache for two days. It finally feels like it's going away. Did great with my food today. It's weird how this diet just makes sense to me. After being on this off and on for almost a year, it just feels like my normal way of eating. I'm still confused as to why I got off it. I am having some problems with a certain bag of potato chips that my husband brought into the house. I think the death stare was enough for him to understand not to eat them around me. Well, at least during the first week. After that, I just need to deal with it. Time for bed!

    I agree, this diet is the best! You will feel better after the detox, I am on day 16 and feeling great, not overeating or craving. I did feel the same way you did in the beginning days as my body was just starting to detox
