I have Made it to Day 3

Yea! Day 3 Binge 2 and still here!

I think I need to clean my house and bring some protein rich snacks to school. BTW, I certainly did not list my Binges in my nutrition log.... Am I supposed to? Anyway,I get hungry after school and just go ahead and eat dinner, then I am ready to eat again at bedtime. So, smaller meals more often and a trip to the grocery store on payday!

    Another thing, Ash, I joined this thing and gave myself a week or a little more to simply prepare. Like, eating (getting rid of food that was fattening or was too tempting), stocking up on foods I planned to use, etc etc. You might want to do the same thing. You really didn't have time to do any planning/purchasing at all. If cleaning up the house is preparation, heck, do that first. No deadlines. No guilt. No expectations except your own and those can be public OR private. /eor

    You can list your binges or not list your binges. I usually make out a food plan, but I do try to change it if I eat something different. I haven't binged (SO FAR!), and I'm not sure how I'd handle it since it's out there for everyone to see. Btw, I have noticed that as my fiber intake has increased, my appetite has dramatically decreased.. in only three days! ^^

Day 2 and a stumble

Had a great day getting to know the site and even earned my first trophy. Got home last night and binged!! So strange! the mind is a complex thing. I guess I began to tell myself that I was going to change my lifestyle and I experienced panic. One day at a time and one goal at a time.

I also got home and began to stress about the condition of my house. I was frustrated and angry about the mess. That is part of it as well. Anyway, another day older and wiser!

    The fact that you are able to acknowledge your stumble and post about it is HUGE in my opinion! That in itself is progress, Ash. ONE goal at a time is a very good way to get started. I think all Kelly did the first week was work up to the 8 glasses of water a day. Last night as I was cutting up my one portion of broccoli, I got annoyed at Tommy. He is such an iced tea fanatic. Anyway, he lost that green top for my pitcher. So, when I went back to my broccoli trying to decide how much I was supposed to have, in my little temper hissy fit, I thought, "Screw this!" "It's only broccoli, I'll have as much as I feel like!" And, I did. I realize broccoli isn't much of a stumble, but what I'm pointing out is, I reacted to my emotions. Same thing. I love you sweetie!

    I try really hard to see my "stumbles" as positive stepping stones to figuring out the best way to begin eating better. My second day I ate stuff that wasn't "great". I decided it was a learning day. A day to figure out what were better choices.

I also try and separate my new eating habits from other stressful parts of my life. The laundry is not part of what I'm eating. A chore (or other huge chores) are separate from what I eat.

Your calorie count online was just at 2,000. Pretty damn good for the first day! I would say congratulations!!

    I don't think you binged from you log yesterday.

1) The cals for your cheese seemed high to me
2) The cals for your wheat bread seemed high too,

I would verify these or replace them with lower cal alternatives

I love spaghetti too, especially Barilla's sauce, but I follow the serving size, 1/2 cup. Try cutting that down to 1 cup for now. Portions alone will save you lots of calories.
