Making me healthier

I have been doing my best to eat healthier and get more exercise to lose weight. But mostly to get myself to a healthier place. I do not focus on the numbers on the scale so much as I do on how I feel physically and mentally. I don't feel like I eat a lot of sodium but I have not tracked it. I try not to add salt to my cooking, I haven't for a long time. My husband always says the food needs more salt. I am going to start tracking my sodium. I am also going to see what I can do to add more spices to the meals so less salt is needed, by my husband.

I am not going to say the number on the scale doesn't matter. but, I do not focus on those numbers. The reason I am here on this site is to get healthy. I want to be able to run, play outside with my son, find clothes that fit better, and to be healthy. I don't want to have health problems. Since starting this journey to a healthier lifestyle, I have more energy, I get outside a move. started running yesterday, and my clothes are getting loose.
I feel healthier. I feel better knowing that I am making healthy choices.

Question is : Who, what, where, when, how, will I be doing in ten years from now?

In ten years, I will be headed toward my 35th wedding anniversary. My husband and I will both be fit, and so will my future teenage son, and adult son and his family. We will be aware of the food we eat and be sure to eat food that is nutritious. Finding some kind of physical activities and exercising daily at home. I will still be living in the house I am living at now and have more farm animals and a big garden. That will keep us physically active daily. I will play and practice ball with son. I will be participating in local 5K's. I will have been at my goal weight for nine years and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I will encourage other people in their goals.

I seem to run out of motivation. Not that there are not people trying to motivate me. I am just not feeling motivated as much as I would like to. I am doing my best to stick to my plans, tracking, healthy eating, exercise and so on and so forth. My favorite days are the days I get to go to the gym. I wish I could go every day. I think maybe that is why I don't feel the motivation as much on the other days. Because, I focus and wish to be there rather than home or somewhere else. Also I have not been reading as much on SP as I used to or participating in group discussions.

So, my goal is to get back into reading and responding to posts, and to post more often.

  


Changing up my workout plans

On my gym days I recently started joining the step class, so I am not ready to change that up yet. But, I am going to try changing things up on non-gym days. I will start walking around the block as I have told myself I would. Gym days are my strength training days. So I will do more cardio at home on non-gym days.
