Over the past few months my job has been challenging.

After a few years of having a set schedule I am now back to a job with a flexible schedule. The first 3 months my schedule was all over ..the board. 1:00AM to 9:00AM and 2:00PM t0 6:30PM in the same week & back to back days had my head spinning. I almost quit because of the stress it was causing me.

Then my schedule leveled out. I was mostly doing a time frame between 12:00PM to 6:30PM.

My schedule has changed again. Now I am working 5:00AM to 10:00AM. I am still adjusting to my new schedule. I am going to bed about 8:00PM and getting up 3:00AM. At least I have the rest of the afternoon and early evening to get to the gym and do what I have to do without having to be constantly looking at my watch to see how much time I have left before stopping and going to work or after work so I can go to bed. Damn that was a long thought and sentence.

It actually started during the night. I woke up during the night and could not get back to sleep. Instead of 6 hours of sleep, I got 3 hours. Stress. I was worrying about work in the morning. I was tired and sluggish driving to work this morning. That concerned me greatly.

Now ... back to work. It actually went much better than expected. Not without glitches, but otherwise okay. I made eggs instead of the turkey bologna. That's okay. Caught it quick enough. Heated the turkey bologna - without burning it.

Now comes for the real shocker for me. Farina (Cream of Wheat). My heart sank. I did not want to do it. The last time I made it, I burnt it badly. I did not burn it. I made it from from watching my coworker making it. I added butter and sugar. The residents came back for seconds. I was shocked and happy at the same time.

Today was mostly stress free at work.

I am ready to quit my job. I don't feel I can handle the unstable shift and the bouncing between locations. I have been totally stressed out. I am unable to get into the gym like I want to.

I am actively looking for new employment.

I am still collecting unemployment for another 3 1/2 months.

I need my piece of mind AND my health.

I have been having such a hard time getting into the gym because of my schedule. 12:00PM to 6:00PM one day and 3:ooAM to 11:00AM the next day and then back to 2:00PM to 6:30PM the next day.

I've decided to start walking. It's a little bit of taking my own advice.

Actually, a coworker contemplated starting to exercise within the past week. I did suggest a pair of sneakers and walk around the block. I believe it is especially easy for someone who has not exerised before. Unless there are health issues of course.

My sister wanted suggestions on inexpensive workouts. She has a WII. She has sneakers and a bike. Her complex has a small gym. She's set.

Now it's time for me to take my own advice. I've started walking. I get into the gym when I can.
