am feeling MUCH better then I did last week, in fact, the whole family does!!

I'm working really really hard this week because I have a milestone of weight loss dangling in front of me like a carrot. I am busting chops(my own) and taking names(calling myself fat a$$) to make that milestone when I weigh in Saturday morning.

I am still really sore from the workout with the trainer on Saturday, but that's all good, I'm dealing with that and moving forward. I keep telling myself it's a good hurt! I will miss that workout this saturday due to my traveling again this weekend, but look forward to the 20th!

ok - time to go get my exercise ball and do some crunches and pushups before I sit on the floor and stretch for a while.

Week in review

Sunday, March 07, 2010 was not a good week for me. (for us rather) My family was all sick, including me, I couldn't work out like I should have and I cheated and had some comfort foods while I was down for 2 days.

I did manage to lost .4 lb last week though. I wasn't happy at all about that, especially coming off a 5.5 lb week the week before.

I've accepted it, I can't change it, I'll move forward from here. I'm already working hard this week since I know I'll miss a few workouts this week.

I'm not giving up, I'm not done nor will I revert to my former self!!!!

    Great job moving forward through your illness. Losing 1/2 a pound is still something and you are progress that doesn't necessarily show on the scale. Keep it up, you're doing great!

    Jerome, got to this via my friend Bill. He is absolutely right. Keep moving and the result will show. - I thin it is important that we don't get fixated on the weight loss, but gradually convert to a healthier lifestyle, as a result things will change. - We have to be careful we don't fixate on one measurement but the trend. It is so easy to focus on the trees and not look at the forest. Slight gains and plateaus will happen. Upward an onward my friend.

Just finished my first 90 session with a personal trainer. (sort of) We have started a program at our church called Fitness and Fellowship, great workout!! 90 Minutes kicked my butt from cardio to toning!! My body hurts from my arms to my toes, did I mention it was great. I can't wait to go back!!

    It sounds like an excuse, but we must give our body time to recover. Replenish with fruits/veggies and plenty of water and then hit it hard again when feeling better.

    If your not feeling well take it easy, don't want to make yourself any sicker than you may already be. Take a couple of days to rest up and then see how you feel, and get right back to it!

    Not sure what to say, sometimes when I don't want to work out I remind myself that just showing up is half the work. Perhaps if you put on your workout clothes it may help. Until then take one moment at a time. A lot of times you can talk yourself into it. Keep trying.

    Try to be easy on yourself (talk about the preverbial pot!). It's hard to keep up when you're not feeling well. Let yourself rest while you need it but be ready mentally to get back on the horse when you are feeling well again.
Hang in there, you can do it!! I hope you feel better soon!
