Remember how I was cooking through Michel Richard's Happy in the Kitchen? Well I went to his restaurant, Citronelle, and he was in the house and came by our table. Check out the photos below.

Asparagus on Asparagus

Saturday, April 10, 2010

This is basically asparagus served with a sauce made from asparagus, olive oil, & lemon. I served it with the salmon stuffed asparagus and it paired nicely together.

Yum! Kind of like your romaine on romaine!

I think I'd like chocolate on chocolate, LOL!

Salmon stuffed with Asparagus

Thursday, April 01, 2010

This was a great Michel Richard recipe. Relatively easy, beautiful looking, and healthy. First a pocket is created in a salmon filet and light steamed asparugs is inserted inside.

The fish was then baked. The finished product.

Romaine on Romaine or Are Lettuce Ribs Blue Cheese?

Saturday, March 27, 2010

This recipe cleverly used rice paper to contain romaine leaves to make a utensil free salad. It is called Romaine on Romaine because the dressing/dipping sauce also contains romaine lettuce. And it uses the lettuce ribs chunked up to create texture. Michel Richard described it like having blue cheese chunks in the dressing but that description was a bit of a stretch for me.

    Very intersting concept!

It was good. It was a basic shallot/basil dressing. There was no blue cheese in it. It had chopped up romaine ribs meant to resemble blue cheese.

I love blue cheese, but I'm not too sure how much I'd like this. Was it good?
