Shred: End of Wk 2/Start of Wk 3

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

Week 2 in review:

Weigh in: down 1.8 lbs. Was hoping for a bigger loss this week but that's ok. Its still a loss! I probably would have seen a bigger loss had I exercised over the long weekend and stuck completely to the diet plan. Although I didn't stick to it entirely I didn't pig out, I stayed within my calorie range, so that's a good thing! I was really worried about that. Good thing we stayed around the house! Now to meet my first short term goal I need to loss 5.8lbs this week.

Week 3 begins today. This week is "Transformation" week and is supposed to be the hardest of all 6 weeks. And reading thru the meals for the next 7 days I see it! For the first 3 days of the week all 4 meals each day I have the choice of just smoothies, shakes or soup, with the exception of today's meal 1 and day 3's meal 1 I can have cereal or oatmeal. No meat til day 4. Really the "liquid" meals aren't as bad as I thought. They taste really good and are filling. I think this week I will need to try to make at least one of the soup recipes in the back of the book and I need to get some vanilla whey powder for the other protein shake recipes in the book. I can only make 1 right now with my chocolate whey. I can't wait to get my Magic Bullet blender this week!!! I think that if I stick to the plan 100% this week I can lose this 5.8 lbs to meet goal!

Heres to a great week and a big loss!!!

I bought a copy of this book but never used it. One of my extremely bad habits is buying diet books and not using them. I congratulate you on your determination!!! I have a bullet, you will love it. Now I use a ninja and really love it too!!! Wishing you huge success meeting your goals this week!

I also saw no fruit at dinner. Can not start until I go shopping this weekend or next week. Best wishes. He is no biggie on bread carbs in the beginning but at the end some are added in the middle phase or last phase.

End of Week 1 of Shred/Beg of week 2

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

Good morning. Not a very happy weigh day for me today emoticon . Up 2.8 lbs this week emoticon . I was expecting a loss after the first week of the Shred diet. I did mess up really bad on Saturday but didn't expect this much of a gain. Also noticed during this first week that I consistently stayed at the high end and sometimes a tad over my calorie range each day with all 4 meals and 3 snacks a day. So for week 2 of the Shred (challenge week) I notice that some of the meals he decreases you down to 250 cals for soups and smoothies (the liquid meals). So that will help. I also plan on those meals to try to do the smoothies instead of the soups this week. Maybe limit soup to just 2-3 times this week and the rest of the week will make smoothie or protein shake. I write down my meal plan but I don't put it in my tracker until I eat. So I am going to attempt to put my food choices in my tracker at the beginning of the day to see if I need to adjust a meal or snack option to stay at the lower end of my calorie intake. I also plan to really up my cardio/ST. I am consistent at Curves-3 times a week but not so much at home. Yesterday I was really wore out, dull headache and my knee was hurting so I didn't do any. So that will be my 1 rest day and for the rest of the week I will get at least 45 minutes each day!

One good thing I noticed was eating many small meals at specific time intervals really helped my hypoglycemia. No more shakes and not as many headaches emoticon

Sorry everyone that I don't chat on the group threads as much. I am enjoying not having to be on the computer doing homework as much so I don't spend time on the computer that often. Hope everyone is doing well. emoticon emoticon

Good Wednesday Morning

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

Hello Friends...

Well, today I am down 0.4#. For some reason I thought for sure I was going to be up since I lost the last 2 weeks in a row but I am not! YAY. Today also starts the day that I begin Shredding. (Shred the Revolutionary Diet). So I have read the first few chapters and will follow the recommended meal plan laid out in the book. I created a spreadsheet and planned my meals for the entire week and will do this for the next 6 weeks and maybe beyond. My cousin and his wife are currently on week 3 and are really seeing results!

I revised my goals and program and have updated my sparkpage with them. I am keeping a journal for the Shred diet.

Well...Have a great day and Keep Sparking!

MIA

Friday, May 10, 2013

Good Morning everyone! So sorry I have been MIA over the past couple weeks. After the 5% challenge and BLC I decided to take a break from being on the computer so much. Spring 5% begins tomorrow so I am BACK lol.

Updates:
*finals went well. Ended both classes with a B. Done now for the summer.
*Still waiting to here about the student AP position at my school. She reposted the job since she was looking for 2-3 students. Looks like she will be interviewing until June 8. So still keeping my fingers crossed
*I am getting more consistent with my exercise. Also doing the FB 30 Ab and Crunch challenge with some of my friends on FB.
*I have been tracking my food again. We got those new smartphones so I downloaded the SP app and now all I have to do is scan the barcode with my phone to track my food. Makes it so much easier.
*On May 1 I gave myself a goal to lose a min of 5 lbs by the time we go to the Orion Music Festival June 8 and 9. I weighed in Wednesday and was already done 2.2 lbs
*I haven't been munching out in the evenings over the past couple weeks.

I think that's about it. Been spending time with the kids after school and trying to catch up on stuff around the house.

Tonight heading over to my moms for Mothers day. Then we are to see my MIL tomorrow. Sunday we were supposed to spend the day fishing at the park which was one of my favorite times when Evie caught her first fish while I was pregnant with Jay on mothers day. But no more 70-80 degrees sunny days. Cold front came in today with lots of rain and will only be55 on Sunday :/ So DH bought me a beautiful Blue Orchid yesterday and we will be going to see IronMan 3 on Sunday with the kids. New poles and fishing another time ;)

Have a great day everyone! And a wonderful Mothers Day!!!
