Back to school tomorrow :/

Sunday, January 06, 2013

Today is the last day of winter break. We return to school tomorrow. Still don't think I am ready so I am very glad I only have 2 classes to deal with! Still have lots to do around here. I didn't have a very productive week. I have an appointment Wednesday morning after I drop off the kids to school for a consultation at Curves. Hoping the program that they set me up with will be in my price range. I really need something extra to get me going. I have just absolutely no energy or motivation! But good news I haven't had a pop since last Wednesday. I was drinking a couple a day again for the last few weeks. I did want one yesterday but I didn't give it. Kids came home yesterday and haven't put down their 3ds's once lol...I did order a mini stepper off Amazon this week. I have decided not to trade my fireplace for a treadmill. Just going to wait until we get a bigger house.

Well not much else is new, just plugging along as always. The craziness will begin tomorrow, and for today...getting ready to jump back into a routine.

Have a great day everyone! Keep Sparking~

Yep, back to school. I would prefer more time off but someone has to pay the bills. Good luck with Curves, I hope you find the energy and motivation that has been missing.

Life does get back to normal eventually. Awesome giving up the soda. I did that and very rarely have one. We are lucky that there are so many other choices. I hope the new stepper works for you.

Hope your Spring term goes well. So proud of your ability to give up the soda pop. Big WooHoo! I don't buy pop, but indulge once or twice a month when I visit a particular pizza buffet. January should mean no soda pop for me. I can see where that would be a tough challenge. Good work! Hug, hug -- Evelyn

You lead such a busy life, I can see why no energy. While you were on vacation, you definitely needed the rest.
I will have to give you a "shame" on your soda drinking :) It's like the kettle calling the pot black ~~ I was very bad and ate lots of candy over the holidays.
You will get back on track. Remember, we are all here for you. emoticon emoticon

I'm back to school tomorrow too. It's going to be really rough when that alarm goes off in the morning. Little guy and I are pretty much used to sleeping in and 6am is going to come awfully early. I'm the teacher though, so I can't show weakness. emoticon

I'm glad this semester will be a lighter load for you.

My DD is taking online courses and has been on break. And I, I work in a high school as a TA. But I notice school districts vary in their vacations. I had to return to work on the 2nd. That's okay. We'll get a week in Feb, and one in April; then about 10 weeks summer vacation.

I've had setbacks too - weight lost, then some regained. But Spark is definitely a great resource. I have been "sparking" more, going to the sparkpoints page and doing all I could to gain those silly little points. In the process I've learned some very interesting things through their numerous articles, and found some great little videos for working out. This semester I've been in a computer lab, so I'd be sitting almost all day - but I take advantage of Spark's seated workout videos from time to time. The weight is started to come off again.

It's more than diet - it's a change in lifestyle. So here's to us - may God bless us on our journey to a healthier lifestyle! And you'll be setting your children a good example NOW while they're young!

I am back and ready to Jumpstart my 2013!

Wednesday, January 02, 2013

Good Morning All! I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Years! We wish you all the best in 2013!

We had a nice week away. Nice to relax and just play for once! I got addicted to the kids new 3DS’s they got. They are so much fun. Miss those monkies! Dropped them off at Grammy and Papaw’s yesterday on the way home from Grandpa’s. So must get organized before they come home Saturday so we can play a lil more before me and the kids return to school Monday. Christmas was wonderful. Loved spending the days at Grammy’s and Papaws and then spending the week at Grandpa’s. Kids got everything they wished for and then some. So they had lots of fun playing this week. News Year Eve I was in and out of sleep from about 10-12 but I woke up for the ball drop.
It was interested trying to get thru my Newsfeed for the last 8 days. I know I didn’t make it thru everything so hopefully nothing important lol. Now just to get rid of my 540 plus emails :/ and updating my spark 

My resolution this year is to get back on track to a healthy lifestyle. Fell off the wagon the latter part of 2012 and gained back all the weight I lost and then some. I feel like crap again and it stinks. Back to tracking my calories in and out and back to my fitness program. Planning to start my new Zumba Exhilarate set today that my Momma got for me  Not even going to look back and recap on the bad things from 2012. Time to throw it all away and start fresh. Revising my goals for the year and going to focus on moving forward. I have done it before I can do it again! I would love to reach my goal weight by my 30th bday. Just 7 month and 14 days!     A great plan, and welcome back. emoticon You have some great goals for 2013, but the one that caught my eye was the ME time. I think that is very important for all of us, and helps us to attain our goals. Then there are the rewards for our accomplishments. We work hard, and deserve it. Good luck, look forward to seeing you on the team again. emoticon emoticon

A week in review

Saturday, December 22, 2012

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hello everyone...sorry again for being MIA..busy time of year :) Hope everyone is doing well! First off just wanted to let you all know this may be my last update until after the New Year. We are leaving Christmas day and won't be home til the 1st or 2nd. We are going to my FIL's so I will not have internet access.

Ok lets see...what happened since last update? Well last weekend I spent studying my brains out for Finals. I had finals on Mon and Tuesday those went pretty well. My grades were posted yesterday...ACC (A), SPAN (B+) and that evil OM (C-) yea! Thats means I got an A on the OM final! I hate having a C but I passed and that is what matters. Time to relax and gear up for next semester!

Wed...Bubbies Christmas party at school. Really cute Santa even visited the class. Thurs was Evie's party. That was interesting, she got to go to different stations to learn about different Holiday traditions. Fri was the kids last day of school. They had a pj day and got to watch a movie. My ultrasound was also yesterday. Have to wait for the results from my dr.

Since Tues night we have had my MIL's bulldog since she went to FL. 2 girl bulldogs, very interest...First couple nights were rough. Still not sure that Bella likes it but they are starting to get along. We have Rosie until tomorrow.

Took the kiddos to my moms yesterday so I can get my wrapping done. So this weekend will consist of wrapping and cleaning. Want everything done by tomorrow so Mon me and the kids can bake our cookies and watch Christmas movies. Tues we will get up, open presents and head to my moms for the day then to my FIL's thru the new year. Then dropping the kids off at my moms to spend the rest of that week.

Well I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

HUGS

You're a busy gal, that's for sure! Your grades were great -- even the C isn't bad if it's a class you struggle with -- what is OM? I could figure out the others, but my mind went blank on that one.

PJ day at school! Wish they would have had that back when I was a kid. Of course if it was in Minnesota around Christmas time the temp would have been like -30F so it might be too cold to think of wearing just PJ's. Although that's what I have on right now, so cozy and cuddly!

Take it easy for awhile -- till school starts again! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

So many things so lil time...story of my life lol

Friday, December 14, 2012

Good Morning Friends...

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week? Mine has been pretty good. Classes wrapped up on Wednesday. But still have a paper due this weekend and lots of studying for Mondays Spanish final (which is going to be pretty easy) and Tuesday evil Oper. MGMT final (which I am not looking forward too!!!)

Wednesdays WI was ok...I didn't gain and I didn't lose so I will take that instead of my consistent gaining lately! I am happy this Lipo Slim Detox stuff was free cause its just like any other...no help!

Yesterday my husband and I went to the shooting range. I shot my first handgun and I loved it. I did awesome and even hit the bullseye. We went ahead and purchased me a handgun and I couldn't be happier. Next we need to get my gun case that opens by my fingerprints and some ammo. I would like to practice at the range 1-2 times a month. I got it for home protection as they have been numerous breakins. My MIL who lives about 7 streets down had her house broken into a 2nd time since July. When we get our taxes we will be getting an ADT security system too.

Today, I will be finishing up my Christmas shopping while the kids are in school then back to my sons school for his students teachers farewell party.

Tomorrow my lil cousin is having a bday party for her son (my littler cousin lol) so we will be going to that. Rest of the weekend is studying and homework. Next week is busy finals and school parties...Just happy that both the kids parties are on different days so I can go YAY!

Happy Friday everyone!!!

I feel you on the handgun. I've been been a gun owner for maybe 15 years or more and I'm also a concealed weapon carrier. Unfortunately these are the times in which we live in. I don't want anyone to hurt anyone but on the other hand I don't want anyone to hurt me either. I have a 357 and 25mm revolver. A guy told me that to fully familiarize yourself with your gun you should take the bullets out of it everyday and just pull the trigger until it becomes second nature to you.

I wish you well on your exams.

I have finals next week too. Go us!!

Wow on the handgun. I'm terrified of guns, LOL! My hubby and his best friend play outside with those air soft guns..I don't like those either, lol! He laughs at me, but I don't care. But seriously, good for you!!

Hope everything goes well over the next week for you!!

This is the first year I can say my shopping is complete ten full days before Christmas - all thanks to a sudden cold, bed rest and online shopping. Plus, I love having boxes show up at the door.
I used to live in a gun-friendly rural area , but now I live in the city. You inspired a quick, fond memory of fall afternoons and target-shooting. Enjoy your new purchase, but of course I hope you never have to use it for its intended purpose!

What kind did you get? We've been considering the same thing, but there are no try it before you buy it kind of places around here and I'd really like to test out a few options before committing to something.

I'm so glad for you that you horrible semester is so nearly over. Hopefully the spring semester will be better.

I still have yet to begin my Christmas shopping, let alone finish it. Yeeeeesh. I don't have a long list of people to buy for, but I just haven't had a time when hubby and I have both been able to go at the same time and we've had a sitter. I think we're going to have to divide and conquer, but we've been going shopping together every year since before we were married so that makes me kinda sad.

Catch up time....What a busy week

Monday, December 10, 2012

Sorry everyone. Been MIA this week. It has been busy trying to get thru the end of the semester. Wednesday is my official last day of the semester then the 17th and the 18th I have a final exam each day.

Lets see...what happened last week, haha such a blur now ;)

Besides working on too much homework...

Wednesday...weigh in and measurements-up .2 lbs (lipo slim not working yet lol), my measurements were up and down, arm down .5 in, bust was up 1 in, waist down .5 in, hips up 1 in, Thigh up 1 in, calf up .5in and neck down 1 in.

When classes are over this semester, I am so back on this workout wagon!

Friday...kids had an early morning dentist appt, just a cleaning all was perfect :)

Saturday...my nephews 14th bday party, fun, and only had a small pc of cake :)

Sunday...was my Bellas 2nd birthday! We went and got her a special doggie bday cookie and a squeaky Lamp Chop (the lil lamb that used to be on TV), she loved it. Also gave her a special dinner can of food.

All the homework I have left is a analysis paper for ACC due Wed and the spanish lab for ch 6 which isoptional but it replaces a bad grade on a lab (my lowest is a 84 the rest were in the 90's so hoping it will give me an A on the labs), plus it is review for all the other chapters so it will help for the final. And then just studying my tush off especially for that evil OM class.

Hope everyone is doing well. Keep up the great work!
