Sorry I have been sick so no blogging. Better today but did n't get any cardio in. Just 15 min of lower body ST and 30 min of yoga. Plan to go for a bike ride in the morning and do some much needed yard work.

THe Avengers was a great movie. Wish Bubbie would have kept his glasses on more though!

Not much else going on...sleeping the last few days a lot. Going to bed early, putting a movie in and falling asleep. Probably do the same tonight!

Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful goodies and SparkVersary wishes!

Hope everyone have a wonderful Mothers Day with their mom and or kids!!!

Yesterday: 60 min Zumba burned 444 calories.
Tday: not sure yet, probably just playing with the kids, probably Wii this afternoon.

We are going to see the new Avengers movie today in 3 D. Can't wait.

    Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. Sorry I missed your SparkVersary. My sister is here visiting and I haven't been getting online until after she goes to bed, then racing through the sparkpoints list, trying to beat the stroke of midnight :-)

We saw Avengers on Friday in 2D. It was much better than I anticipated. I prefer 2D, as the 3D makes me queasy sometimes. Hope you liked it!

So today is my emoticon. Since I did not reach my goals in the first year, this is my new beginning and I WILL reach my goals this year!

I started PT today on my knee. It is what we thought. My quads aren't supporting my knee cap, my inner quad especially so my knee cap falls off to the side. The pain is from the bones rubbing together. No deep squats, no crossing my legs, no sitting indian style, no sitting on my leg. She did tape my knee to see if that may help. She has four different ways to tape my knee we are trying one. The real test will be tomorrow in Zumba. She showed me a couple exercises to do at home with my step and we did some balance board exercises today. Will be doing more workout next week that will help strengthen my quads and core (since this is part of the issue too, a weak core causes weak quads). So this is more incentive for me to really get on my ST, yoga and pilates!

    I always read you workouts and I have to admit it intimidates me that someone who works out as much as you has a "weak core." If so, I am doomed. I always joke with my trainer that she has to play "find the core buried under all this" (and then I gesture to m middle, which is big enough to inhibit certain motions). She is up for the challenge: her goal is to get me to do Burpees. Working on it. Good luck with your PT, hope your knee feels better soon!

I just bought a balance board this week. I need to strengthen my ankles and core with it.

I have a similar issue with my knees.... I can squat and do most things, but no jogging for me... think I need to try the balance exercises again!

Weigh in good & taking the day off

Scale was down today for once---Lost 1lb. Needed to lose 5 to reach my goal but didn't reach my Spring 5% Challenge goal. There is always the BLC 19 Challenge and the Summer 5% Challenge though!

Bubbie did good at the dentist. Didn't like being numb though and ended up biting the inside of his cheek a lil so he said that hurt. I guess he cried a lil back there but was fine when I got to come back there. He got to pick a prize.

Was going to do my 30 day shred but just way to tired today. Decided to take the day off. Just layed around all day, took a nap before I picked up Evie from school. Kitchen is a mess but it will wait until tomorrow. TV dinners and Totinos Pizza for dinner. Watched the results show for DWTS after my nap. Tonight need to watch both episodes of the Voice from this week. Didn't realize I was that behind.

Oh but I did do something today that I haven't done in YEARS! Read a book (other than a textbook or a book to the kids) at the dentist. I bought all the Twilight novels a year ago and started the first one today. I always loved to read. It was so nice. I have the Twilight movies (they're silly but I love em).

Well off to curl up with my pizza, salad and remote for the rest of the evening. Have a good night!

    I have the Twilight Trilogy books. I love them way better than the movie, although I don't mind looking at Robert Pattenson (sp) lol he is soooo damn hot =)

    The Twilight books are so much better than the movies. Enjoy.

You should put the Hunger Games on your list too if you haven't. They are also geared to young adults and they are fantastic. Although I would have ended the series differently.

Sometimes a day off is just what's needed. I'm so looking forward to the school year ending so I can take a couple of those.

    Absolutely NOTHING wrong with taking a day off. I had myself a 'mental health day', as I like to call them, today too :)
And YAY for reading ... I would consider it torture if I went a whole DAY without reading 'for fun'!

Last few days

Hello, I keep forgetting to blog lately...Sooo Busy!

Sat-Cleaned all day long with no interruptions. Nice to be able to be so productive. Still have tons left to do. Little each day. FIL & MIL coming over Sat to start doing some repairs to the house (this is my FIL house we are renting)

Sun-did yard work all day, got a lil sunburn. When that was finished tried to teach Evie how to ride her bike without training wheels. Practice, practice practice. Bubbie is still having trouble with pedaling a regular bike (he got a 12in) but he almost has it. BBQ'ed and relaxed rest of the day.

Mon-Went shopping for about 2 hrs, that was fun. Got groceries and some other stuff I needed around the house. Got everything ready for Zoo trip today.

Today--Went to the Toledo Zoo for Evies 1st grade field trip. Walked around for about 4 hrs. A lot hotter today than anticipated. It was beautiful! Luckily another mom wanted to carpool so I got out of driving. Wasn't too keen on driving down to Ohio. Its about an hr south of me. I have never drove myself, usually others drive, so I was so thankful she asked! Some of the exhibits were closed from construction so that kinda sucked but it was a very fun day!! Took our lunches so I did good there! Got home a lil after 3 and went thru my emails really quick, layed down on the couch to pet the dog, and feel asleep for a lil over an hr. Kids were great, quiet, just sat on the other end of the couch and watched TV. Had I not had to get up to make dinner I would have just called it a night.

Tomorrow is Bubbie 1st set of fillings, they will be giving him a lil bit of laughing gas to help keep him still. Going to try and work on the kids room some more. Get some more of their old toys/clothes ready to for donation. Reorganize some more stuff. Having done my 30 day shred in a few days so I want to start that up and do that daily. May even try and throw in a bikeride. If not tomorrow morning, Thursday morning.

Friday is day 1 of PT. Can't wait. Going to be nice to get this situated.

Well that is about it. Going to relax and watched some of my programs the rest of the night.

    Rest is a good form of fitness, too. I've never lived in a city with a zoo and have a small zoo not too far away. Seems I've learned to compensate with waterfalls and state park trails. Glad you're working well on your goals -- I hope we don't have to wait until summer (June 21) to begin the Summer 5% Challenge.

    You did have a busy weekend! It sounds like it had a lot of bright spots, though... totally worth it.

I love having visitors because it forces me to clean... Why don't I do it for myself?
