Holy Crap, Batman!!!

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

Well, I decided that it was time to post an updated full body shot. I may not be seeing much of a change on the scale but I can tell the difference in the pics. I am so happy!!!
Check it out when you have a minute.

This weekend is going to be interesting. I don't have internet access where we are going except on DH phone which isn't the best. So the only thing I will do is post my FM to my team message board and then log in (I don't want to mess up my perfect attendance). I am taking printout of exercises, dvds and equipment with me. I normally get a lot of exercise when we are at FIL house. Playing with the kids (basketball and air hockey, exercise bike, and lots of walking, we always go somewhere, especially Lansing area.) I will write down everything including my good and then Monday update it all. I will be back Sunday night but will have too much other things to do since Evie is back to school from break and I have class Monday, so will have to get ready for the week.

I am going to work on somemore homework that is due early next week and have that done today or by tomorrow. That way I don't have to take any homework to FIL. On Sunday we will be having Easter lunch/dinner at my moms along with a big Easter Egg hunt. I am going to make sure everything is all packed tomorrow too that way Friday when we get done with Evie's cardiologist appt we can pack up the truck and go.

Take care Everyone!!!

Great pic. I'm in Marketing now. We are doing Total Revenue, Fixed and Variable costs, profits and losses. I'm so bored she has to keep walking around and explaining it to people. Ready to go home.

Cavaties & Cardiologists and some updates

Tuesday, April 03, 2012

So took the kids to dentist today. They have their first cavaties already. I am flabergasted!!!

My 7yr has just 1 in her back permanent tooth. Her mouth is very small so part of her gum is over lapping the tooth so it is hard to clean. We also discussed seeing an ortho about these spacer things that they do nowadays with kids that helps their teeth grow in straight to prevent braces later. I am going to make an appt to check into after she is out on summer break. Its a free consult so it doesn't hurt to get more info.

My 3 yr...I knew he had a couple. He like to open things with his mouth because he sees his grandpa that has no hands opening things in his mouth. Now the little chips in his front teeth have cavaties. Luckily we are catching them early. The kids didn't even know that they had them.

Friday taking Evie to the ped cardiologist. Hoping it is nothing but I am glad we can get in quick enough. She hasn't had chest pains in awhile but we still need to figure it out.

Man, somethimes I just feel like the worst mom!!! I know I shouldn't but I just can't help that feeling. But they both go in May 1st for their fillings, well I am not sure what they will do with buddy since these are his baby teeth still. I am taking them to a special ped dentist for kids.

Has anyone else ever had these issues in younger kids?

I am still going strong with my FM. My knee hasn't been hurting last few days so cardio is getting better!

I am exhausted with homework, housework, just life. Cannot wait for this semester to be over. MY acc teacher is going to work with my about my grade. Not sure what she is doing, but expressed how bad I need this A and I think she may give us an ex credit opportunity. My MGMT exam last week was horrible. I got a C. I thought I did better than that. I studied more than the first one and got a B on the first one! But she offers ex credit so not to worried. Doing great on all ohter assignments. Well as great as I can since my group doesn't know how to communicate back to me. That will definitely be put in the evaluations on each member that are given to the teacher. She does use these to reflect each members grade on the major project we have been doing. Had a FIN quiz again today. I think I did really well.

Good night everyone!!!

I'm glad your knee is feeling better. Cavities happen. It doesn't mean you're a bad mom (in fact you are actually a great mom since you're taking them to the dentist, and a lot of parents don't). Look at it as more of a teachable moment - now you have the opportunity to help your kids learn not only how to take care of their teeth, but why it's important.

Someone once said "I'd like to be the ideal mother but I'm too busy raising my kids!" Even though she meant to say that no mother is perfect, I believe that all mothers can be ideal simply by letting their endless love for their children lead them. And through your blogs that's what I think about you. Every mom feels like the worst mom in the world once in a while. We can't prevent all bad things from happening. We just have to be there for them always and help them get over the difficulties.
I hope you find some time to relax soon.
Take care!

emoticonOn your school!!!!!! I didn't have any kids of my own but I myself had cavities as a child from the time I was 3 or 4 years old, pretty much 1 per visit. My mom didn't allow sugary drinks or sweets except on holidays or special occassions.

Had some dental issues when my youngest was 18 months had cavities but had to wait for the eye teeth to form at two he had his top two front teeth pulled. Peds dentist is the way to go they do such a great job. Things happen with the kids we do the best we can. And from what little you say you are doing a great job you are getting them to the dentist and dr putting them first.

Glad your knee is feeling better.

The semester is almost over, just one day at a time!!

Take care of your self!!

You have to take care of you knee though - if you need to rest it, then do. You knee will be with you a lot longer than the extra weight so you've got to give it higher priority.

I hope you and your hubby are enjoying you weekend.

Okay - now...you are PMS'ing and didn't expect to see a weight gain? You KNOW --- You KNOW --- You KNOW --- that is just extra fluid from being a woman...it will disappear. Just think about a week from today - you could have a HUGE weight loss number in one week - because you know that PMS weight 'isn't real' and will 'suddenly' disappear overnight. Add that to your real weight loss (from exercising / eating right) - and you are going to have a HUGE weight loss number a week from today!

You got this!

Do you have a balance ball? You could bounce or do crunches on it while catching up on your shows. It shouldn't hurt your knee either (that leg could be straight while the other bounces).

BTW, I find your energy amazing! You go to scroll, have young kids and lead a team here on Sparkpeople. And, you are always commenting on others messages/pages and encouraging people. Oh, and lets not forget, the 80+ team posts you must go thru each week because people forgot to only update their one post. I don't know how you get it all done! I appreciate all your encouragement!

I hope you get to the doctor soon!

Great workout schedule! Any way you can workout while catching up on your DVR? I get most of my workouts done on my laptop DVD player while watching tv. Good luck with your assignments... not sure I read, what are you in school for? (I am guessing the ACC is augmentative communication?) Our school district just started an assistive tech team the last few years, it has been great seeing how the extra supports help students!

Week 2 Day 5-Spring 5% (Rest day!)

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Today is rest day for me. I need to relax my brain and my knee! My exam is this morning in MGMT. I got my entire study done last night and I think I retained things :). As I was doing it I remember the stuff from the lectures too. So I think I should do pretty well!!!

Yesterday we got our tests back in FIN. I got 100% woo hoo!! I got a 42.5/100 originally but since he grades on a curve based on class average he let everyone add 7.5 pts back. So that gave me 50/50!!! I was 1 out of 8 in a class of like 30ish.

Still not sure how I did on ACC exam. She is way behind. Told us on Mon that she graduates with her PHD in May so that is why she doesn't respond to our emails. She only works on class stuff during her office hours on MW. Wow. a couple hours 2 days a week and she has 3 classes she teaches. Not to mention she is not great at explaining things. And her tests/assignments make no sense! I have expressed my concerns to her a couple times and so have others. That is all we can do. As long as I maintain my A I guess. I just wish I felt like I was getting something out of this class. Especially since it was the area of ACC I am most interested in.

Tonight, I am just going to get some stuff done around the house: dishes, dinner, bath the dog...

Hope everyone has a great Humpday!!!

That's not right. Period. I don't care that she is getting her doctorate, she still has responsibilities to her students. If she can get everything done during office hours, fine. Clearly that's not happening though so she needs to put in some extra time. I don't get to tell my students "I'm ignoring you and not responding to your questions because I have better things to do" neither should she. If she can't resolve the situation, you could go to her head of department and express your concerns.

Sorry - just a little rant of my own here.

Enjoy your rest day. You definitely deserve it. Does your knee feel any better today?
