Good ending to not that good of a day

Friday, May 20, 2011

So my routine was all messed up today since I had an appointment first thing this morning. So as soon as I got home I ate breakfast and did my morning exercise which I had to cut short because I needed to shower before we had to pick up my daughter from school. I did get 20 min of cardio and a coach Nicole toning video in so I wasn't too upset. The rest of the afternoon was going well until my husband called when he got to work and told me they are shutting down the plant for most of next week. Which is good to have him home but bad on that paycheck! It got me a little depressed since gas is so expensive and we are having to use both my explorer and his mustang 4 days a week. My Explorer alone is 75 buck to fill up. So then I decided to do another cardio video a few minutes ago. Well I don't feel so bad. I never realized how much that it really does help. People were right emoticon

Oh yeah, I added some really cute pics of the family on my page, check them out emoticon

Tired today...But still got in a great workout

Thursday, May 19, 2011

Today I could hardly get out of bed. I had to push myself for everything. School was the worst since my teacher is so monotone throughout the 2 hr 40 min lecture in cost accounting. He puts me to sleep. But I did get in the best workout I had since I started. I did 30 min of coach Nicole cardio kickboxing (I think I am going to try some of her other cardio tomorrow) and then I did one of her 10 min strength videos. That was a littler harder but I got through it with some modifications emoticon

Early to bed tonight.

I did it!!! Week one complete

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

So I just finished my first week and I actually feel great. I didn't see any results yet (at least I didn't gain anything emoticon) but I pretty happy. I had a couple low days but I am learning more and it is really helping me. I am getting better with my calorie intake, I have increased my fitness level and I am drinking a ton of water! The stress is still there but I will pull through it! emoticon

Stressed and feeling low

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

So I am happy that I got back on track with my diet but I am feeling awfully stressed and it is really putting me down today. The last few days the kids have just not listened to me one bit, I have a ton of homework. I just want to eat a giant reese cup!! I am trying to just take it in stride but still feel like blah! Maybe its the gloomy weather!

Anyone have any tips about relieving stress?

The best tip I can give you is try to get in some cardio, I never used to believe that it helped relieve stress but now I am totally convinced. After working up a real good sweat maybe you can sneak a few minutes to yourself and get in some stretching or meditating. WHen my kids were little I used to put myself in time out every once in a while. LOL
Whatever you do stay away from the Reeses remember if hunger isn't the problem, food isnt the answer. Hang in there this too shall pass.

I bake. And I know that sounds bad, but I bake bread. Let me tell you...kneading that dough gets a lot out of you. Anger and stress just melt away it seems. Plus, in my opinion its cardio. And the smell of fresh bread always cheers me up.

I don't know what you have in your cupboard, but the Lightest Wheat Bread on Sparkrecipes is amazing in my opinion. I drizzle a little honey on a slice.
