Going back to the beginning

Now that things are quieting down it is time to get back on and get motivated. Since I have been off for so long I have decided to re-start with smaller goals and work my way back up to my long term goals that I set for myself June 1.

So here it goes:

*15 minutes of cardio 5 days per week (m-F)
*Strength training (M, W, F)
*Track EVERYDAY!!!
*Cut back out the pop and drink 6-8 glasses of water EVERYDAY!

Once I get my motivation and strength back up I will gradually increase back to my long term goals. Trying to start where I left off made me less motivated because I lost my groove and my body feels the way it did when I first started in May.
On a good note my husbands surgery went great. He is doing so well. He should be able to return to work end of Aug. Now I can stat taking care of myself. Tomorrow I have an appt with an ortho surgeon that I was supposed to see months ago for my broken arm from March 21. After I went to the ER I foun dout my insurance was all screwed up so it took almost two months to get that straightened out. Once that got fixed I was into my Spring semester so I decided to make the appt for the week after classes were finished since it was so hectic. Then hubby hurt his back. When I went to go to my appt in June, my hubby had an appt that same morning, and when we left from his appt the car wouldn't start so i had to cancel. Since hubby was so bad I waited to reschedule. Now I can get this taken care of before fall semester starts!!!

Wow if it isn't one thing its another!!!

Well here is to another new beginning!

And it's good to hear that your husband is getting better. For him but also for you, hopefully it will make it easier for you to take care of yourself. emoticon

    wow! Just a few things, I am sure things will settle down now that you are able to deal with them one at a time. Good for you for making time for yourself!! It's the best way to be there for the ones you love!! emoticon emoticon

    You have a lot to handle and you can be proud of yourself on this one! You are doing great.

I'll be looking for further posts to confirm that all is good, don't be like the woman who takes care of everyone else first, you need taking care of too. I just went in yesterday for my mammogram and bone density, can't let that stuff fall behind.

I really appreciate everyones support! We started a new routine this morning. I gave the kids their breakfast, then we did summer school, then I ate, then shortly we are going to exercise which I am going to include the kids with me to make it fun. That way they get their exercise too. I don't know if we will get outdoors today, too hot and I think we are in for some storms.

Hopefully we can stay with this routine. My hubby's surgery is Wed and we will be able to come home after (even him). So Wed I won't get anything in but we can start back up Thur. At least get 10 min here and there 3 times per day!

We will see how this works!

HELP! I've fallen and have NO motivation to get back up!

I have absolutely no motivation these last couple weeks. I have been so tired and stressed fighting with all these doctors I have lost all motivation for myself! Now that my hubby is having surgery on Wednesday, I am hoping that I can put all that aside and get back up! We had to jump through so many hoops to finally get into see the neurosurgeon I just put myself aside! Now that things are finally calming down and we actually see the light at the end of the tunnel I am not motivated at all to put myself in front again!

How do I get out of this rut!!!!!??????????

    You will pick yourself up once you have to get your husband to the hospital for his surgery. You will have the strength. What I don't want to see you do is lose that strength when your husband gets home. So while he is in the hospital this is time for you. Many people will be taking care of him and you will need to take care of YOU.

    I agree, don't beat yourself up!! Baby steps, You have a very full plate. Try to eat right and deal with the surgery, then as he is recovering, you can too!! We love you and are here for you, we all have to deal with life as well, you are not alone!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I wish your husband a successful surgery and speedy recovery. You need to be in top form to take care of him and help him in his time of need. Putting yourself first right now might be the best thing for both of you, but start small. I would revisit stage 1 and set some fast break goals just to develop good habits again. KISS them, keep it short and simple. Just a couple small things to make you feel good about yourself. emoticon

    One foot in front of the other, One moment at a time, that is all any of us can do. When you get drained your batteries need time to recharge. Give your self that time and don't beat yourself up. It is ok. Minimize the damage. Accept it, own it and move on. You have the right attitude you know you can do this. Your heart is in the right place right now, with your husband. There is nothing else you can ask for. emoticon emoticon emoticon

This week was a complete bust

Monday and Tuesday I didn't feel very good so Wednesday I tought I could catch up. I almost did but put the rest off to Thursday, nothing that day. I have been going since early this morning with my hubby's presurgery appt (He is having back surgery this coming Wednesday finally!!!) then my daughter graduated SafetyTown. Then we went to Wendy's and came home, ate, and me and the youngest went down for a deeply needed nap.

I don't feel like doing much now. One of these days I will get caught up. Starting next week we have no other obligations so I may be able to start back up and even do my "summer school" with the kids I still haven't started yet.

I am going to get myself into an early morning exercise routine like I had before now that I am not running around to thousands of appts constantly!

A brand new start

Since I have not been on track the last few weeks, today is my brand new start. I am going to reach each one of my daily goals everyday!!! I will make sure, even if I can't do it all at once, that I get ALL my exercising in for the day! I WILL track everything, everyday!!! I WILL NOT eat WHATEVER, I will get back to eating "healthy" again!! AND watch my portions!!!!! I WILL start feelng good again!!!

Here's to today! A Brand New Day!! A new Beginning!!!! emoticon emoticon
