My first week back at school and in my apartment have gone so much better than I imagined! I've been here since Sunday and I've only over-eaten on one occasion. Even then I was eating healthy snacks. My food budget for this month has encouraged me to eat at home and bring my lunch to school. And, I've been eating alot more fruits and vegetables than normal. Drinking my 8 glasses of water each day has been kind of tough. Some days I get and 8+ and some days I only drink about 4. Next week I am going to make that goal my priority.
As far as exercising goes...IT'S BEEN GREAT! I surpassed my exercising goal this week, and we haven't even worked out in my P.E. class yet. My most exciting accomplishment is that I conquered my fear of the treadmill. Usually I just avoid that machine at the gym altogether, but on Tuesday it was the only free spot. So, I got on and walked for a few minutes, grasping to the hand rails. Then I tried to let go of one of the handles. And to my surprise it was easy. By the end of the work-out I was jogging for two minutes and walking for three without holding on to the hand rails. Since then I've gone back and tried my new treadmill workout again. I'm hooked!
