HCG ????

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

I had a buddy of mine tried the HGC diet and he lost 20 pounds in 30 days. I thought wow that is awesome and he has been maintaining. I went off because of issues and have gained all but 3 pounds back, so I thought I would give it a try.

I started 3 days ago with eating everything ...it's the loading stage.. on monday night I was having taco bell and was forcing it down. I don't think I want to think about junk food again.. I was happy at first eating all that but wow it can get to you.

Today is the first day of the very low calorie day. I don't feel hungry and so far so good.

If you tried it or have thought about it..let me know your feelings on this diet.

I have never tried this diet and will check it out for myself. Eating and learning how to eat right is a life style change however, many are encouraged after losing this kind of weight after trying so many other "Fad" diets. I like the Scarsdale as it tells me exactly what I need to eat and offers a maintenance program s well. WE'll see....! Thanx for the info and feedback! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Fortunately, a few days of healthy eating in a reasonable low calorie range (around 1,200 calories a day) will probably be enough to flush all the "loading" junk food out of your system.

I hope you decided not to do the HCG diet, as eating only 500 calories a day for weeks can do serious damage to your health, and every person I know that did that HCG starvation diet quickly regained the weight they thought was gone forever.

The HCG diet is totally NOT WORTH IT!

Here's a article from the FDA website:

If you search HCG on the spark site you'll find very mixed reviews of the diet. Yes, some successes, but also some horror stories.

Best of luck with your continued progress!

Please, please do not do this to yourself!

HCG is a dangerous starvation diet that has absolutely no real science behind it. The only reason people lose weight is the extremely low calorie food plan, as HCG has been repeatedly proven to be no better than a placebo, and will do nothing to make it safe to eat only 500 calories a day, reset your metabolism, prevent muscle loss, or anything else the HCG snake oil salesmen claim.

Anyone would lose weight by eating so few calories for several weeks, but it is NOT safe or effective, as nearly everyone that attempts the HCG diet regains a significant amount of weight, even if they eat healthy and exercise once they are finished with the plan. I know several people that tried the HCG diet, and that's what happened to them.

Besides that, eating so few calories for several weeks can cause serious health issues. Those who are able to push through weeks of extremely low calorie eating on that plan without becoming ill must have a high toleration for starvation level eating, but it is still very dangerous to try and force your body to live off stored fat for several weeks. No matter what the HCG promoters say, people DO lose muscle and become ill from malnutrition on that diet. I know people that attempted that diet under a so-called doctor's care, and the become so weak and ill they decided to stop less than 2 weeks into the starvation eating part of the plan.

ALL the Spark People coaches are completely against that HCG diet plan because the extremely low calories make it very dangerous. Spark People, as well as nearly all doctors, recommend that people trying to lose weight eat at least 1,200 calories a day.

Here are some good links about the HCG diet

The FDA is getting all the HCG stuff off the market because it is such a dangerous scam

Stumble, Fall Down, GET UP!!!

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

On this spark journey I have found that no matter how many times I fall, how many times I kick myself for messing up or eating something I should not have, I have to stay in the fight/war. I think of this journey as a war, I may lose some battles but eventually I will win the war!!!

Either that or I think of Dori in Nemo and I just " Keep swimming, swimming, swimming" emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Between sizes

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

I don't know if any of my spark brothers are going through the same thing, but it hit me the other day when I was buying new jeans. I was at the store started with a big pair just in case, but too big emoticon emoticon so then I went smaller it was still a little to big...win ... again went smaller and it felt good but I felt I could go smaller and then it happened!!!!! The jeans were just a little to tight for my preference, so I thought I'll just get the middle number..like between 40 and 42..36 and 38..but nooooo I know right now you guys are thinking did you not realize that mans pants don't have a middle number???

Well to be honest I never thought about it..and now it's just smacked me in the face!!

Why don't we have middle numbers? Is their a law that says no we can't? I don't know maybe one of you my spark sisters or brothers can tell me.

Thanks for listening and yes I'm still very happy with the fact that I went down further and soon will be at the ones I put back!!! Spark on brothers and sisters!!! emoticon emoticon

They do make a men's 33, but they aren't easy to come by. You'll be in the next size down in no time!

Congrats! At least you guys have somewhat accurate numbers...we get 8, 10, 12, 14...what do those even mean?! I've found that I am 10 in some jeans and 12 in others...then when I try on juniors sizes I am 13 in some and 15 in others. I think it depends on brand and how they choose to size them. I don't know if its the same for guys, though. Try another store and invest in a nice belt! Either way, congrats on all your hard work! You are a rock star! emoticon
