One year goal

A year ago I had reached my weight loss goal and so I set a new goal to not gain any significant weight for another year. What I found is that it is almost as hard to keep the weight off as it is to lose it. I had to keep myself motivated as far as exercising and eating right. There are days when I splurge and there are days when I skip exercising but, I can't do that too many days in a row or I will gain the weight back. Using Sparkpeople I still count calories everyday and log my exercise. My new goal for next year is the same-DON'T GAIN WEIGHT!!!

6 Months of Maintance

My goal is to maintain my weight loss for at least a year. I am working as hard as I was while losing the weight. I still count calories everyday. Some days I splurge but, I try not to get too carried away with my eating. I also am pushing myself to keep to keep exercising because at my age I will gain the weight back quickly if I stop.

Wearing those clothes in my closet

I am now wearing those clothes in my closet. I can get into my size 6 jeans. I would like to lose 3 more pounds. My biggest challenge is maintance. I have failed before and I don't want to fail again. I know one key is not to stop exercising. I will be working out the details as I go along.

    Amazing!! All the clothes in my closet are "fat lady" things and that's what I am at this point....I know if I keep it up, it won't take long that I'll be at LEASE one size less than I am now....but even that's not going to be enough.

Post Thanksgiving

I am glad to say I only gained 1/2 lb. for Thanksgiving. I did eat a couple of pieces of pecan pie. But I am back on track now that the house is free from left overs and pie.

Ounces away from goal

Six months ago, I started my current weight loss program. I had done it before so I knew I could do it. I thought it might be harder to lose weight since I was older, but surprisingly I have lost weight at the same rate I did last time. This time I have done more strength training, so I feel like my muscles are stronger. I also eat more whole grains and have had fewer food temptations on a daily basis.
