End of Summer Goals

Now that I am back from all my travelling I can work on getting refocused and back on track. Here are my goals for the next 6 weeks.

Goals for the next 6 weeks (July 21-August 31)

Fitness:
1. Week 1 go for a 10 min walk 3 days a week
2. Week 2 go for a 10 min walk 5 days/week
3. Week 3 go for a 15 min walk 5 days/week
4. Week 4 go for a 20 min walk 5 days/week
5. Week 5 go for a 25 min walk 5 days/week
6. Week 6 go for a 30 min walk 5 days/week

Nutrition:
1. Plan 5/7 days main menus per week
2. Drink 8 glasses of water a day
3. Eat 5-7 servings of freggies a day
4. Track my food 5/7 days per week

Rest:
1. Get 7 hours sleep per night
2. Take an hour nap in the afternoon if needed

Organize:
1. Week 1 desk tops & dresser top
2. Week 2 dresser drawers
3. Week 3 closet
4. Week 4 stacking files
5. Week 5 electronic files
6. Week 6 recipe file

Journal:
1. Write in my journal 5/7 days per week

Spiritual:
1. Study of book of James 5/7 days per week
2. Daily Bible readings pick a plan to follow
3. Memorize 1 verse or passage per week
4. Daily prayer time
5. Read through the book Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life

Ministry:
1. Work on organizing Love Loaves visitation ministry
a. Recruit volunteers
b. Schedule
c. Prepare/organize resource material

Looks like I have a plan - now I just have to work the plan!

    I'm like you... I can make fantastic goals on paper, but rarely ever complete/reach them...

    There are days I can relate to this kitty's statement. Very cute picture, think the kitty is all fur and not much weight involved to be concerned about. Have a great weekend

A Week Review

Or should I say "weak" review. I accomplished some goals, but hardly made a dent in others. But I am alright with that. At least I made a start towards them. So here is a review of last week's goals.

Pre-trip:
Fitness
1. Go to the pool 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, & Friday) and water walk for 1 hour emoticon

2. Go for a 10 min walk 3 times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday) emoticon I actually did better than this, as I walked on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday!


Nutrition
1. Plan 5/7 days main menus per week emoticon Not so good- no planning.

2. Drink 8 glasses of water a day emoticon Got most of my 8 glasses of liquid on some days, but some of it was sugary drinks - like ice tea. This coming week I will cut out the sugar and focus more on cool refreshing H2O!

3. Eat 5-7 freggies a day emoticon Most days I managed between 3-5, so need to plan more freggies into my days - having a menu plan would certainly help.

Rest
1. Get 7 hours of sleep a night emoticon I averaged 7 hours a night, except for one 6 hr. night.

Organize
1. Tidy up the 3 hot spots in my bedroom (I have already done 2) emoticon Still working around the mess - I am such a procrastinator!!

2. Maintain my hot spots by doing a nightly quick cleanup emoticon but at least I have been maintaining what I have and haven't lost ground or clear space!

3. Make a list of things to do before the trip emoticon

4. Go shopping for things on the list - emoticon no shopping...yet!

5. Make a list of things to pack - emoticon

6. Have suitcase packed by Friday afternoon (May 23) - emoticon Brought my suitcase up out of the basement today

So although I didn't accomplish everything, at least I did something. And I know where I have to pick up the pace for this coming week.

    Great job on making goals and then working to meet them! We can't always do everything we plan; but, having a plan is half the battle.

    Don't be so hard on yourself. You actually accomplished a fair amount. We also have room for improvement. You've identified those areas and are moving towards them. Great.
I already see you walking the promenade deck everyday on the ship and dipping into that pool regularly (if it's indoors).

    You *did* do quite well - don't sweat the planning issue.........that kind of work is often tough to get done at times (we *all* have lives outside of the kitchen!)........

Getting Off The Sidelines

For a long time now I feel like I have been sitting on the sidelines while all my spark friends race on towards their goals. But after reading a blog by my spark friend Fusionfitness3 (Maria) I have been inspired to write out some goals for myself. As I will be leaving for my trip (Alaska cruise) in 15 days, I decided to make goals for the next 2 weeks (pre-trip goals) and for the week of my holiday (trip goals).

Pre-trip:
Fitness
1. Go to the pool 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, & Friday) and water walk for 1 hour
2. Go for a 10 min walk 3 times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday)


Nutrition
1. Plan 5/7 days main menus per week

1. Walk 20 min 2 times every day

Nutrition
1. 8 glasses of water a day
2. 3 meals & 1 snack/day snacks to be fruit or veggies
3. Eat 7-10 freggies a day
4. No grazing, no seconds

Rest
1. Get 7-8 hours sleep a night

I feel good that I have something to focus on for the next 3 weeks. When I get back from my holiday I will review my goals and make plans for the month of June.

    What AWESOME goals and a great to-do list for pre & during your cruise!!! I know you'll have a GREAT time!!! I'll also be gone about the same time! I'm flying down to NC to welcome my 4th grandchild into the world. My dil is having her third and I'll get to spend a week or two (they're flying me back home) with them...can't wait!!!

I really appreciate all the special comments and keeping up with my broken ankle!
