I thought I would share this because I am sure a lot of people go through some sort of plateau when they are trying to achieve certain goals. I have heard that sometimes the scale can be very discouraging and I witnessed that first hand the last couple of months. My weight literally stayed the same.
I was thinking I am doing everything right, yes I may slip from time to time with my eating but I never go overboard. Anyway after about 6 weeks of the scale going up and down but never lower I decided to take another approach and try on new clothing. I and sure now I was in a little denial that my body was shrinking although the scale said other wise.
I went on a little adventure to try on some clothes. I was normally a size 10 - 12 (Large to X-Large in dresses) because I was always a little busty. So I try on an 8 and think...hmmm there is some room there let me try a 6. I tried the 6 and I was like wow...this is new but I think I could go smaller. I tried a 4 and it actually zipped!!!!! Yes a little tight but hey I have never look at a size 4 anything!
That night I went home, got my measuring tape and went to work. It had been 8 weeks since I had last took my measurements. Low and behold, I had lost an overall of 8 inches. I was STOKED. At that time, I could care less what my scale said because between my clothing adventure and my measuring tape, I had 2 out of 3 things telling me that I was not at a plateau after all and learned that I was actually building muscle.
Just thought I would share this for those who may be a bit discouraged their scale because scales can sometimes lie.
