Saturday

Saturday, February 08, 2014

I left the house at noon, went shopping, stopped at Mom's helped her take a shower. She fell in the shower. Thank Goodness I was there. She didn't get hurt. It took me a while but I got her up and dry. She was black and blue, but not hurt thank goodness. I got her hair cut and styled and stayed with her for an hour and a half to make sure she was okay. I can only hope that she stays safe until I can get her to live with me.
Went home and made lazagna for Cousin David, he is going to have an operation on Tuesday.
Also made Chili for Mikey, who is having trouble eating hard foods.
God is good.

Digging out of the Snow

Thursday, February 06, 2014

I had to leave for work earlier today because we had quite a snow storm. Getting from the apartment to the car was just the first step. The snow was so high it was up to my thigh's in some places. I fell over probably 4 or 5 times. What a sight I must have been. I finally got to the car and the digging out began. 30 minutes later I was frozen solid and on my way to work. What a workout!
I was never so happy to get to my office. I have the heater blasting, I am warming up with coffee and pray that that is the last of the snow for at least a few hours.....

Let's hope this is the last blast of snow for the winter. That would be a lovely thought. But it was good for cardio LOL!

Glad you got to work safely. I'm had my fill of snow but my threshold is low.

Hoping the rest of your day was great and that the snow has subsided!

Same here, we had over a foot of snow plus winds causing it to drift.

Target

Wednesday, February 05, 2014

Well, now that I am officially back in the groove, I decided that last night I would start my exercise program. I no longer have my gym membership, so I decided to go to Target and brisk walk for 60 minutes. I was brilliant, I must admit. It was a great way to get my walking in, stay warm and not worry about snow and ice. Now I just have one little problem. I will need blinders not to spend any money. $50.00 later, I could have had a gym membership....

Glad you found a way to work-out. Sorry your pockets are $50 lighter but maybe you can work Target into being a stop you make on days you actually need things. Then you can shop and work-out all in one guiltless stop.

I ALWAYS seem to find stuff I LOVE at Target (even tho that store aggrevates me- another story!)

I did the same thing u did- went in looking to see what they had for Valentine's kitchen towels (didn't like any) and walked out with $50+ of my fav hard-to-find decaf coffee, almonds, beef jerky, yogurt and other 'scores' emoticon

Day after

Monday, February 03, 2014

Okay, I went to the super bowl party armed with snacks from the Spark Cook Book. I didn't eat regularly. I skipped breakfast and lunch. I didn't drink all my water either. I was starved when I got there. I ate and had a great time. No alcohol. I was up in weight today.
I realize what I did wrong.
I have started my day with a great breakfast, brought my lunch, packed my snacks and have my water. I will succeed and not punish myself with banter about what was wrong with what I did. I am looking forward to being strong with what I do right.

I always eat breakfast. It keeps me on track all day. Otherwise, the munchies get me after dinner.

It was only one day. We ALL have days that don't go the way we planned.

As you said, you're ready today to stay on track.

Life is full of special occasions. For some we'll eat a little more, for some we won't. As long as we are following a healthy lifestyle, and the special occasions aren't too numerous, it will all balance out.

You've bounced back with a positive attitude and a plan. That's the way to do it!
