Straw Diet

Well, what a crazy couple of weeks it has been for me - totally out of routine - I had a accident and ended up in the emergency room of the hospital and 5 stitches on my lip. So there were quite a few days when I just didn't feel like exercising and a few more of feeling sorry for myself, but the only saving grace was that I couldn't eat crap as I could only drink through a straw and have little bits of food.

I got the stitches out yesterday, a little bit of a scar, hopefully it will fade with time. Went back to the gym this morning and weighed myself - I have now officially lost 10kg (22 pounds) - I am most impressed with myself. I am still pushing to get below 80kg before the end of the year - that should be achievable only 1.4kg to go. Not sure what my end goal is as I have forgotten what is was like to be under 80kg, so from there is will be a self assessment, but I am thinking 70-75 would be good.

Anyway back into routine, back at work, life is good.

Chic Nuts - Yummy and good for the tummy snack

Found these at Woolworths yesterday - box has 6 snack pack in it.

Chic Nuts - Lightly Salted Roasted Chickpeas - better than a pack of chips.

25g - 95cal, Protein 5.2g, Fat 2.2g, Carbs 11.5g

    I also found them today - quite tasty and crunchy. I like that they are in individual portion controlled 25g packs.

Hit By a Pizza

Hit by a Pizza
Whoa!!!!!! - I was hit by a Pizza last night - how dare that thing fly into my face and I consume it all!!!! - thank god it was a thin pizza - I think the whole pizza was 892cal - but still - I ate it all. I really have to stop beating myself up when I make a slip up or is it a slip up? - I just wanted to have a bit of a couch potato Friday night and I suppose I did. It would of been even better if there was a bottle of red in the fridge - but there wasn't so I will be grateful for that.

So today is back to the progress. I mean I did jog for 25min straight on Thursday morning and exercise everyday straight for nearly two weeks - so I think I will be fine. Just have to remember it is all about living and the experience.

So since I blogged last Friday I have lost another 300g - so I am now getting closer to my 80kg aim for the end of September - will be do a couple of good walks this weekend.

What are you all up to - beautiful weather here in my part of the world - Sunny Queensland Australia.

    I firmly believe that if I don't sometimes have a pizza night (or ice cream, or chocolate, or Indian or ......) and thoroughly enjoy it, then there is no way I can keep this up for the rest of my life. I am NOT on a diet, I am eating well and taking care of my body to stay healthy for life and anything goes as long as it's in moderation. So I say pizza night was not a slip up, just part of enjoying life and therefore part of the plan! emoticon

    Sometimes it's just a pizza sorta night. Pizza is my kryptonite. Luckily for me, my partner works away 3 weeks of the month, so I'm really only looking at it being an issue for maybe one night a month... but, I would say, don't beat yourself up... focus on something awesome from Friday instead.

Well, it was gorgeous weather here in Toowoomba today... I went for a job interview and got the job... hope you have a great Sunday!!

    way to go on the loss! Keep it up. I think sometimes sitting down and eating a whole pizza isnt always all bad... as long as you log it.. and then add some extra working out to offset it. Never feels good after you eat it... but sure does taste good. :)
